I have not seen 1 example of Karma.

Oprah's success isn't karma. Other successful people isn't karma.
So please give 1 example !!!

Those obnoxious 'famous' people on "Jersey Shore"... or the Kardashians. I'd like to know how they got where they are. It certainly wasn't by doing good deeds, and the Karma Fairy slappin' 'em on the ass for it.... but I wouldn't say they worked hard and earned it, either.

Where do they fit in the scheme of things?

Completely groundless wishful thinking.

Enough to know not to fuck with it.

with what ?

Humans evolves to do good things not because of karma,
but because the genes tell them to do good and to feel guilt if they done bad.
They can also do bad because of revenge, greed ... etc.

Good things happen to bad people, bad things happen to good people.
It's just life.

The whole concept of karma breaks down in the Western mind the minute one has to reconcile why bad things happen to good people.

Good and great alike are swept away by tsunami, tornado, wildfire, earthquake, layoff, workplace shooting, etc.

In this forum, the most people like to cite karma occurs whenever someone unpopular experiences something bad. The meaning of karma invariably becomes reduced to paybacks.

Good children die of cancer.

Bad kids get new cars, hot gals, better educations, and cushy jobs via their dad's connections.

Bogus!

Encore!....................

My life experience made me come to the conclusion that something like karma doesn't exist. Too many people who did things to me got away without punishment and now even have a succesful career.

Also what Puzuzzu wrote.

The notion of Karma is a wonderful invention for helping to keep the gullible in line ... it's way up there with heaven, hell, and the whole pie-in-sky-when-you-die bullshit of the western religions, and the ridiculous 3-fold law so beloved by new-age airheads.

All so obviously of human guilt-based origin.

The belief in Karma made the world's most horrific expeirence (of losing the love of my life to suicide) MUCH , MUCH , MUCH harder.

I had donated one of my kidney's to my oldest brother in 2001 and in 2003 the love of my life , Todd, took his life.

For years after Todd took his life, I thought that God and this world were out to FUCK me over. My strong belief in Karma confirmed this.

It took me years to come to the conclusion that Karma doesn't exist and now I feel much much better.

I know that posting this without showing proof is like telling an "old wives tale". I toyed with idea of showing the documents but all the documents have my REAL NAME on there.

I showed the documents to M1000 and asked him to back my story up.

Borgie @ post #36.

Dude, those are not cases of Karma or even Joss.

Have you never heard of Executive Privilege? If

one gives enough privileges to the p/c executives

then ones' success is guaranteed

Like Gravity Babe..............

Gravity Sucks...and It Is What It Is.

Never use that word again. It is a perversion.

Not at all. Karma is just another word for jealousy, being happy at others misfortunes, or not having the balls to deal with the person yourself.

In India, karma means if you do good in this life, you will be born rich, born handsome, born as a god ... etc depends on what you do.

And if you do bad, you will be born as a snake, a rat, a fly ... etc depends on how bad.
So karma is about the next life.

Well at least it wasn't " I gave a kidney and all I got was this crummy t shirt"

:-)

I did get a t-shirt but it said "UCLA kidney transplant program"

Anyhoo going back to Karma and suicide subject.

The two things that hurted me the most after my boyfriend took his life was

1) Pain , horror and grief that it was suicide

2) Karma (good things happen to good people).

I used to believe firmly in Karma........and it made the world's most horrific experience of losing a love one to suicide MUCH MUCH MUCH WORSE.

(this thread not me gloating .....but I'm just saying that my belief in Karma could've killed me. Thank God I'm not suicidal anymore.)
