  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

I got a plan, gays. Look at my new toy.

Windows and Skylights will be the easiest for thieves to break into. Although I like the skylight/vent idea to keep it a bit comfortable, but the back and side door should be all you need.

I just installed an electrical circuit for 120v meant to plug into a house. Gives me light at night and outlets to plug stuff in. So I can charge batteries for my tools without having to bring them inside the house.

Those led lights are 1k lumens each. So should be plenty bright at night.

You def are going to be living in it soon.

I've rebuilt my arsenal of tools. Almost all of these are cordless.

Here are the toolboxes for specific tasks.

And here is what the mobile tool shed looks like when everything is put away.

Edit.

Next step is to put bear traps around the trailer so any mofo who gets close to MY tools will be crippled.

Shit! My toolbox lives in the cupboard under my kitchen sink and contains an electric drill which previously belonged to my grandfather, a few assorted screwdrivers and a hammer. I rarely touch it.

Looks awesome. Have you thought of how to secure stuff when you pull the trailer down a bumpy road? It looks like you have a system of bungee cords for the bins. What about the individual tools? Maybe plastic tubs, like would fit under a bed?

How does it pull with most of the weight on one side?

Do you have this all now properly insured?

Quite a haul for anyone who gets into it. OR steals the trailer.

I have a plan. I'm about to turn that section where all the power tools are into a metal cage.

It pulls fine. Believe it or not, all that stuff doesn't weigh that much. When I was putting in the racks, I was able to lift the entire thing with one hand.

Yes. Everything is properly insured.

That said, I have security measures. Aside the million locks that are on the trailer, I got 2 wheel boots and all the lug nuts are security lug nuts. I also have a GPS inside it and a camera that's always recording and uploading onto the cloud at all times.

Well, I do full home renovations! I build walls. I assemble kitchens. I do full home plumbing and electrical. I've installed whole heating systems.

Don't get me wrong, I don't use every one of these tools every time. But it's a pain in the ass to need a specific one and not have it.

Edit.

Last night I was working in the trailer and realized I really wanted to have a movie on or something in there. So, I'm gonna buy a smart tv and hang it up somewhere.

Next is a reclining chair with a foot rest, a mini refrigerator, a microwave, and obesity.

Then the air conditioner/heater combo.

Did you really mean the bit about setting bear traps? I hope not. Using bear traps against humans may or may not be illegal in your state, it is certainly immoral anywhere.
A person suffering injury in this way can claim a lot in damages, even if they had criminal intent, they have not at this point stolen anything from you, which weakens your defence.

Here is what my trailer wheel look like when parked.

Again, I'm sure a dedicated enough thief can get thru these measures. But they will have to make a ton of noise and effort to steal this baby.

I still think you need to paint something incredibly memorable and kinky on it in order to help track it when some thug steals it.

So, just basic stuff. Mostly. :)

Basic to me, anyway.

Oh yeah, I'm one of those jack of all basic trades, master of none kinda guy.

It is actually pretty fulfilling to do these things for my own properties. A whole different story if I was working for someone else. Making anything into a job takes the fun out of it.
