I lost on Jeopardy

Amy has tied Matt for 2nd most wins at 38 and has a total winnings of $1,307,200

She did better tonight than she’s been doing this week.

She's been getting [STRIKE]ballsier[/STRIKE] braver with her bets.

Amy now has sole ownership of second place in wins at 39. Her total winnings are $1,319,800.

Amy has been dominating the game but not doing well in Final Jeopardy.

Ken Jennings has the most wins at 74

And the streak ended at 40 wins. Amy lost tonight on a relatively easy final Jeopardy.

^ Even I knew 'Bangladesh'.

Not sure how many nights I can look at those yellow Harry Potter glasses, though.

I don’t think I’ll be able to watch one more. Were they glowing?

I couldn't think of the answer. Glad that I watched tonight. I was getting a little tired of Amy anyway so I'll be looking forward to the new guy. I wonder how long he will last.

not long---he got lucky and she messed up--

A lot of people think she threw the game.

There are also people questioning the way Ken wanted the dude to make a big bet on the daily double he found.

^ I didn't see the show when it aired and heard the final question (what is Bangladesh?) before I heard the answer/clue. After hearing the wording that the country ends in an H and is also one of the 10 most populous countries in the world, I started to wonder whether she threw it or not. Maybe I've been playing games on Sporcle for too long, but it seemed pretty easy to narrow it down (and believe me, I am not Jeopardy smart by any means!)

I like to think she just drew a blank, but if she did throw it, I'm sure she had a good reason because that 1.4 million sounds quite a bit less after the Feds and California takes their share...around $625 K, leaving her with around $755 K, and that's not a lot considering the Oakland/San Francisco area.

I've watched her entire run and she does not have a poker face especially when it comes to Final Jeopardy, guessing she just blanked. She was having too good a time to "throw it". The guy who beat her is done already.

Surprisingly I "had" Bangladesh immediately, even before I heard the part about the population.

It will probably be about a month before I catch up with the backlog on TiVO and actually see the whole episode.

^She isn't bad even though her nose jewelry bothers me, I still like her better than most. I do get tired of winners after several weeks and feel bad for the other contestants who are against them.

I heard Mattea almost loss yesterday. Sarah led . . .

Sarah: $ 22, 600
Mattea: $ 13, 000

But Sarah didnt know about Citizen Cane, so she lost everything.

Mattea: $25, 9999
Sarah: $ 0

===============================================

On Friday's show . . .
