Frankly, there are very few similarities in "physical preference" and "fetish". I kind of feel like this call was made by a person who has very vanilla tastes ("no fetishes for me, that stuff's weird!") and doesn't get the whole Bear/Daddy/Chub appeal at all- hence, tossing them all together.

It sucks. It's messy. And, yes, it's even a bit offensive to all parties concerned to be lumped together in this thoughtless fashion. Can this be undone?

But all in all very shortly something we'll grow very comfortable with.

And just when you get comfortable with it they probably go and change it all again. It's not just the changes but the short amount of time since the last change. How is anyone supposed to get used to the changes when they then decide to change it all again? I'd just got used to where everything was after the last change and now it's all mixed up.

One thing that I agree with is something that someone just said.

The mix with "different tastes' Having bears and fetishes in there. Not every person who likes bears are into fetishes like leather and etc, and not everyone who is into fetishes are into bears. The two will clash. I know you can just say "Don't post in the thread in". But it would probably be easier to give the two their own forum so that way those who don't like bears have no excuse not to flame or rant about bears then it is for them to be able to look at the threads. It's much easier for them to express their opinion if they don't like bears and bears threads they see when they are looking for leather or other kinky and fetishy stuff.

But if they clash they'll clash and it will be dealt with when it happens I'm sure. Maybe they won't just read threads that say what they don't like and it will solve itself. I really don't know.

Besides that I'd just wait this thing out and see if any conflicts arise that actually happened becuase of threads merging. Not just the fact that things are changing. Then that's a reason to voice an opinion about jub changes.

I think the main concern I have is when those who are into incest start getting flamed and flame back and then it turns into a war-ish thing. It amazes me how people get so flamed up about incest. That alone should be it's own forum. Hahaha.

Well I am bugged by some of the negative comments comng from guys who not even JUB supporters.
Pony up the $30 a year and help support this fantastic web site, then and only then, should you even consider criticisms.

i like the new arrangement.

i would suggest to those who lost some favorite forums to subscribe to the various threads you were interested in. that way you and whoever else was participating can still keep at it.

It would have been helpful if an announcement had been posted at the top of the "Ethnic Studs", "Daddies/Bears" and "Leather/Fetishes" forums prior to the change. A week would have sufficed.

The last two have been combined into the "Different Tastes" forum. However, where will the "Ethnic Studs" threads now be posted.

I have been wondering that, too.

Well, you may not be concerned about the layout but you've certainly done your fair share of bitching about the forums. You've complained about the congratulatory threads, the birthday threads, the I got into college threads, the post count threads, the leadership of the moderators, the censorship of your threads, and the inability of other JUBBERS to understand you--just to name a few.
I suppose you brought these issues up during the quiet times in your life.

I thought JUB appreciated and celebrated the many differences among members of our community. Disappointing!

We do appreciate and celebrate the differences which is why we aren't segregating the membership into small forums. Celebrating differences means that the black posts don't have to be separated from the jock posts. Why should an Asian post have to go into an ethnic forum instead of just a hot guy forum? The point is to get people consolidated into a smaller area so that people don't feel like they are posting threads with no responses as if they are alone in their interests in the world. Merging a few forums together brings people together. Having all kinds of niche forums keeps them apart.
