What you are missing is that it is the democrats actively trying to control content on the internet. https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/oct/24/fec-democrat-pushes-controls-internet-political-sp/
I challenge you to find s Republican trying to control content.
We have more to fear from government control of content than corporations. How about all of them who are for getting rid of net neutrality? Net Neutrality is in place so corporations like Comcast can't control what you see and do, it got put in place because of things like Comcast throttling speeds on Netflix because it was competition. This is the kind of shit that would happen that a lot of Republicans want.
Either way, stop playing party fucking Politics all the time because this will fuck everyone if Net Neutrality is killed. Get over yourself.

Denver Post - Net neutrality process “corrupted” by fake comments
I don't think anyone should be surprised by such happening...
Republicans have opposed the government take over, l.e. mandated neutrality, all along. Any alleged fake comments, whoever faked them, are irrelevant. We also opposed Obama’s give away of the internet, and the FEC’s attempt to limit conservative political content.
