It's not exactly a song...but I cried three times on "This Is It" after it ended... but it was a concert so that counts for something right?

A Place In My Heart - Ann Nesby Featuring Sounds Of Blackness

It's a gospel song which is a rarity for me but this song will have my ass curled up in a ball on my bed wailing. It's basically a mother singing a song to her child telling him no matter where he is, what he is doing, or how bad he's messed up "it's ok come back home you'll always have a place in my heart." it gets me every damn time.

Candle in the Wind by Elton John makes me cry like a little bitch if its accompanied by the video with Diana's funeral.

Outside by Mariah Carey is a beautiful song but doesn't make me cry, stirs up a lot of emotion though.

Heaven Holds the One I Love by Nita Whitaker is a sad song.
There are probably loads.

My dad gave me the album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road before he passed away, so that original rips my heart out to this day. It seems to me you lived your life like a cand...oh my -- I told myself I wouldn't do this again..............

You mean to say, I didn't kill this thread with my last 'folk singer?'

Hmmph! Well if you can take it, so can I!

I'm only reminded of this 'folk singer,' BTW, because of the Oscar show tribute to John Barry and the fact the producers of the film got Harry Nilsson to cover the first song below for the soundtrack of Midnight Cowboy… (Fred Neil was a notorious junkie!)

^a most excellent selection of Fred's work..|^Thanks hp:kiss:

I'm jammin' on some old school Dylan right now, and his brilliance fills the room.

I think Stuck Inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again is just about one of the coolest songs ever!:=D:

I feel eclectic tonight. A variety of odds and ends.

There’s a problem; feathers, iron, bargain buildings, weights and pulleys. Feathers hit the ground before their weight can leave the air.

Transatlanticism by Deathcab For Cute.

It's ineffable. There just are no words how good that song is. I can't listen to it very often 'cause it just overwhelms me with sorrow.

I just read that Dan Seals and Dan Fogelberg have both passed away. ___my heart is heavy tonight, so I'll fill it with their music...

"England" Dan Seals(Feb 8, 1948–Mar 25, 2009) he was 61

This #1 single is about a gay rodeo dad trying to raise his small daughter alone.

"little Cassie--she's still growing and she's started asking questions
and there's certain things a man just doesn't know
her birthday came and you never even called
I guess we never cross your mind at all..."

but for me I've come to know, all that glitters is not gold...

Daniel Fogelberg (Aug 13, 1951–Dec 16, 2007) he was 56

This was written for his father, and it gets me every single time I hear it. Oh wow....

I thank you for the music, and your stories of the road
I thank you for the freedom, when it came my time to go
I thank you for the kindness, and the times when you got tough
And, papa, I don't think I said, "I love you," near enough...
