You can collect quotes as you read through a thread. Then, when you are composing a response, you can choose to insert some or all of the quotes you collected.I understand "Attach files", but what does the "Insert quotes ..." button do? Quotes from where or around what?
Hello, KaraBulut - I was a JUB member in JUB before 2015. I started in the early 2000s. I made the mistake of withdrawing from JUB and I rejoined in 2015. I remember starting the Hot Latino Men Collection! I'm sorry if I cannot give you the exact date. When you open the thread, look over on the right side at the top of the thread. If there's a button that says "Watch" then you're NOT subscribed. Click that button and it will add it to your Watch list.
Did you start that thread under a different account? The first post is Nov 9, 2009 but your join date is in 2015, so it was started before you joined.
In one of our vB bad upgrades, users who had deleted their accounts had their posts deleted as part of the upgrade. That's why the post from your old account is missing.Hello, KaraBulut - I was a JUB member in JUB before 2015. I started in the early 2000s. If the button says "Unwatch" then there's a flag in the database that says you're subscribed (i.e. watching) that thread. Try clicking "unwatch" then when it changes to "watch" again, click it again. That should open a box that asks you how and when you want to receive notifications. Also, I can access Hot Latino Men Collection! when a buddy responds and I can see his response. I can see that there is an "Unwatch" button at the top fo the thread. However, the thread is not appearing in my thread listing, unlike all the other threads I subscribe to.
It's a paradigm change. In the old forum, every PM and every response was a separate thing. You could only see your previous messages if you quoted them in every PM.Also, in Conversations formerly a/k/a Private Messages, I don't see differentiation between Inbox, Outbox, or any way to organize, or delete, etc. Also, all possible looking around never got me to anything showing digest preferences, though this very thread gives me an Unwatch choice, which means that I'm Watching.
It's a gamer/millennial thing... kind of like those trophies kids get for just showing up and participating?Also...I'm not really sure what the Trophies are...
Not yet.Is there any kinda penalty for trolling via putting someone on ignore, taking them off ignore long enough to quote them then putting them back on ignore?
word. for now i'm giving this person the benefit of the doubt that maybe there's some kinda glitch behind me being unable to respond to their quoted reply to me, or that quote was a final goodbye before ignoring me for good. we'll see.Not yet.
Thanks Opinterph...I already dug into my account with all the multiple settings for site preferences, and I do have the box checked to "and receive...emails" for Watched threads. Was checked when I looked before, too. But - and this may actually be worse - I seem to get an *INSTANT* notification only for the FIRST post after I've asked a question that somebody replies to, and there is still NO DIGEST that I receive. Does that mean that if I want to keep track of a thread by en email from JUB, I can only do that if I post in that thread every day? Even then, it doesn't look like I'll be notified about anything earlier than that day's post.
Oh, so actually a PRIVATE THREAD, like if the "Post Something Funny Thread" was my own private thread, and only we who are having the conversation will see it? Actually that seems pretty cool. It's a paradigm change. In the old forum, every PM and every response was a separate thing. You could only see your previous messages if you quoted them in every PM.
With the new forum, conversations are discussion threads that only you see. All of your new messages will be a single thread, so you don't have to quote the previous messages which removes the need to have an "inbox" and "outbox".

Exactly. The developer of XF changed the concept of private communications to make them a conversation. It's a conversation that you can also add people to at any time.Oh, so actually a PRIVATE THREAD, like if the "Post Something Funny Thread" was my own private thread, and only we who are having the conversation will see it? That was an unexpected result in the conversion process. It is my understanding that software programmers will provide a resolution in the coming days. Why are so many photos unavailable? Especially those that are labeled "attachment php"
Oh no. You broke JUB!I can't post images at all. I've deleted my attempts and given up.
