Can the opening screen of the Forum be customised?

What link are you using as the opening screen?
 
The old forums had a button on the threads to take you to the newest post. Is there such a button here? If so where? Thanks.

After arriving on the first page of a thread, you can click the “Jump to new” button on the top right of the page.

If you are viewing the list of threads in a sub-forum, you can click the link on the far right side of the thread listing to go directly to the most recent post in a particular thread.

You will also receive Alerts (bell icon upper right of forum page). The alert will provide a link directly to the most recent activity for threads you are watching.

From your news feed; a link will take you directly to the described post.
 
I've just noticed the Reaction Score and Points listed with our avatars...is there an explanation of what these are somewhere? Can something be done with points?
 
I don't think anyone has mentioned blogs. I was thinking of giving it a go. It says "imported blogs" down below. Where are they imported from? There's a box for starting a thread, does that mean a blog entry?

Profile blogs were a custom feature that had been added to the old forum as an Add-on.

The old blog posts were converted but because XF doesn't have a equivalent to profile-level blogs, the blog posts from the old forum were converted into a forum called "Imported Blogs".

When we looked into this, the developer for XenForo felt that users would have external blogs in sites like Blogger or WordPress and would link to the external blog instead of blogging directly in the forum.
 
In the old forum, if one clicked on the number of replies to a particular thread, there was a pop up window which gave a breakdown showing the replies by each individual and it was then possible to look at any specific individual's posts. Is there an equivalent function in the new forum?
 
I've just noticed in F&G that there's a minimum time interval between posts, even in different threads, and on several occasions I had to wait for X seconds before I could upload my next post. Is that really necessary? If so, could the interval possibly be reduced please?

Also, any ideas where the Same Name Celebrities thread from F&G has gone?

I made an adjustment. See if it removes the restriction for you.

I've just accessed the Same Name Celebrities thread from the link above and I've posted in it. The thread should now be near the top of page 1 in F&G, but I can't see it anywhere.

You can collect quotes as you read through a thread. Then, when you are composing a response, you can review them and choose to insert some or all of the quotes you collected.

You can only collect a group of quotes within a single thread.

Thanks, but that's not what I meant. You used to be able to get a list of who'd posted in a particular thread and how many posts each person had made.

I vaguely remember that. I guess I never used it. You can see a member's posts using their profile link, but I don't see a way to tally the posts in a particular thread.

Thanks again for your help. The delay issue between posts has disappeared and I've figured out why the celebrity thread was invisible. It was because I had the original poster on ignore. That's a bit odd though. I would expect to see posts by someone on my ignore list blocked, but not entire threads.

OK, thanks anyway. I guess that's just another way in which the new software isn't as good as the old forum!
