I was able to recreate the issue in Firefox. I'm going to open a ticket with xenForo to have them look into what is happening.

There is a workaround. In Firefox, I right-clicked on the "Leave a Rating" button and selected "open link in new tab". This opened a new browser tab where I was able to add a rating.

Right clicking opened it in a new window and it worked for me also.

how do i view other members profiles, every time I click on a profile, I get an error message
You're being blocked by our anti-spam software because you haven't posted enough for TheSystem to promote you. Once you have posted more, it will automatically open new features, including the ability to expand members' profile cards.

I checked your permissions and you do have permissions needed to rate media images.

The orange bars are an indication that some sort of processing is happening and the browser is in a "wait" state. We sometimes see this with Firefox and with browser Ad-blocking software. If you have another browser, you might see if it works with that browser and if it does, then it's an issue with the browser or one of the browser extensions.
Wondering if there has been an update information on how to resolve the orange processing bars when trying to INSERT QUOTES in the message reply section? In the beginning with this new software the INSERT QUOTES buttom used to be highlighted for me whenever I had clicked on the +QUOTE button in individual messages. The quotes messages were inserted as they should do. Long ago that quit working for me.

My main browser is Firefox on a PC. This last week I did disable all extensions and restarted the browser. The problem did not correct. On the same PC I also tried using Chrome and Edge browsers with the Ad-Blocking extensions disabled. I still had the orange processing bars after clicking the INSERT QUOTES button.

Thanks.

We reported it to XF but we haven't gotten a resolution. The orange bars does seem to happen with Firefox and it's not just this scenario. What we've determined is that the orange bars is an indication that the browser is waiting on something to happen but it's not clear why it happens with the +Quote button. The problem with the multi-quote feature isn't just JUB- it seems to happen on other xenForo forums, too.

The workaround still works. If you want to multi-quote, you can just hit Reply on each post and it will stack them into the Quick Reply box at the bottom. This works consistently when the quoted posts are on the same page. It's a little sketchier when the posts are on separate pages and in one case, I used the Reply button and then just copied the stacked posts into my clipboard before scrolling to the other page to add the other post to the Reply window.

Is it just me, or is there nowhere to see my conversations and past Private Messages - and Forum Comments? I've looked around, but I can't find any of that. There's stuff there that I really wanted to save. Some of these are quite valued because they come from members who have passed, members who are friends, etc.

We converted the entire history from the old forum. The old messages were converted as single messages (in the format that vBulletin uses).

If you click on the Conversations envelope*:

At the bottom, there's a "Show All" link.

*Or you can just double click on the envelope icon to open Conversations as a full-screen option.

Oh thank you so much Kara. I did manage to find it on my own, earlier, and I did all that I could do. (To send a message to a particular member, and hope that they'd see it - hoping to visit in Los Angeles - but he was last "in here" on April 9.) Didn't hear from him before I need to head north out of this area, which is starting NOW...

Thanks again, though, and (though it's ALWAYS implied whenever I post anything to anybody or even post in CE&P) my best wishes and aloha, and love, to you and those who are important to you. (Love has been pouring both in and -out of me today, so I've definitely got ample to spare, lol.)

Thanks for the update. I should know better and have forgot that I can copy and paste from one page to another. Is this mostly a Firefox issue or system wide now?

The new forum caches posts- I believe for 24 hours. For example, if you are typing out a long post and your browser crashes, when you log into JUB and return to the same thread, you should see all or part of your incomplete message.

You can take sometimes take advantage of this in some cases when toggling between pages. What I've noticed is that it works pretty consistently when you've typed something into the reply box but it is not as consistent with quotes. I usually test features and bugs with 3-4 different browsers. I do see the orange bars more often when testing with Firefox and Waterfox.

Hi, how do I stop alerts from threads I don't want to follow anymore? It's easy to stop the e-mail alerts but they're still coming in on the page itself.

Two ways:
  1. On the specific threads that you don't want notifications on, you can click the "unwatch" button.
  2. To turn off the notifications globally, there's an option on your profile under "preferences" - look for "Receive a notification when someone…" and under "Posts in a watched forum", uncheck "Alert" and uncheck "Push". There's other notification options in that section, uncheck any notifications that you don't want to receive.

hey guys just wanted to ask a question ,lets say i am conversing with someone and i send some picture , how come the views is more than 2 like 4 when only both the participants of the chat can see it. thanks in advance

how come the views is more than 2 like 4
I think the system records a separate event each time the image is viewed in a new online session, regardless of whether the image was already viewed by the same account.

Here is a tidbit of information on this issue. The website RadioReference dot com appears to use the same forum software. The Insert Quotes button does work on that site. I was still using the Firefox browser just like I do here. So I assume the issue we are having here is not global with their software but some sort of configuration or software version issue.
