^The post in the HG&GP thread appears normal to me.

Usually when this happens, it's either a temporary problem with the browser or the internet connection. The way that pages are displayed is by formatting information into layers. The example above looks like something went wrong when the layers were being formatted for the display. It's usually temporary and resolves when the browser is closed and reopened. If reloading your browser doesn't resolve it, check for an update to your browser or clear your cookies to see if that resolves the problem.

Not currently. Sorting by reaction isn't available with the base forum product.

In our forum, it might not provide much difference between sorting by date because we converted to xenForo in Sep, 2022 and our old forum software didn't have an option to enter a reaction (e.g. "like"), so most of the old threads and posts won't have any reaction score on them. Because of that, it would be recent threads and posts that would always be at the top (which is the default).

For those interested, the option to change the sort order on the thread list is in the Filters option on the upper right hand corner of the thread display:

Are you able to change the name of a thread after its already made?? If so could anybody walk me thru how to do it?? Thanks in advance :love::love:

There's a time limit on edits to threads. Once you pass the time limit (5 minutes for most members), you can open a Post Report on your thread, tell the moderators what you want changed and we'll be happy to change it for you.

It is setup this way in case other members have replied to your thread. When moderators make your changes, we'll also review any replies to make sure any replies are updated, too.

The web programmer changed the default on the main forum page to light mode. That must also carry forward to the email template default, too.

That is part of our effort to prevent spam. The restriction will disappear as you continue to participate and add posts to the forum.

It's because you haven't posted. We use anti-spam software on the forum to prevent our members from being spammed.

As new members create posts in the forum, the software will open up new features. If members haven't posted in the forum, then the software never activates features.

What we suggest is that new members introduce themselves in the Intros forum and participate in threads that interest them (the Fun & Games forum is an easy place to start).

I get the oops page also.
 
For the past few days, an image "logo-retina-2022" now overlays the menu bar at the top of the forum pages.
I cannot access the drop down menu items except for a second, after a page refresh, before the image obscures the menu.

Is this a forum software change?
 
I have an LCD monitor. It has LED back lighting. Out of the box the brightness was set to 100. I have it turned down to 30 and I don't need sunglasses anymore.
