Re: Janet had most of her nose removed.

I didn't notice until I saw a clip of her on Oprah

First of all...as a resident Ms. Jackson expert...That's not even recent.
Not to mention her hair has been short since early this year.
You got that from Sandra Rose? That woman HATES Janet. Trust me, it's bullshit.

As for her nose...I have not heard of her doing anything new to it. So, I highly doubt she has had anything done recently...trust me, I would know. I keep up on my girl.
I will say this, her facial features can sometimes look a bit different based on how her makeup artists do her face and particularly shade the nose area.

Of course, when it comes to Jacksons, I'm sure plenty of people will believe whatever they wish.

If you want a real look at what she looks like as of RIGHT NOW...check this flawlessness out -

Re: Janet had most of her nose removed.

Katherine Jackson says Michael was "addicted to plastic surgery."

Katherine Jackson also told Winfrey that she believes her son was addicted to plastic surgery, and once even asked his surgeon to pretend that he'd operated on Jackson's nose if he ever asked for another surgery. She said she was concerned that his nose kept getting smaller and that it looked "like a toothpick at one time."

ON FILM: Janet Jackson 1814

Way back in 1989 before the release of her fourth (can't remember how many people used to swear up and down it was only her second) and most creative album Rhythm Nation 1814, Janet released promotion to MTV in the form of a short film called: "Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814". It features a story that runs between the videos "Miss You Much", "The Knowledge", and "Rhythm Nation".

I didn't know this thing existed until two weeks ago ](*,)

After watching it, I found the editing and styling to be a little too abstract. So I unabstracted it a bit to make the story more the focus (with the videos supporting it). So for those early people who already knew about this, enjoy it through an altered perspective. And to those who were dumb like me, enjoy a form of Janet that was more about her music than about the sex.

The first half, featuring Miss You Much

The second half, featuring The Knowledge and Rhythm Nation

bwahahaha Hey, "Janet Jackson" and "Dream Street" were actual albums, so "Rhythm Nation" was JJ's 4th.

As for the long form video, yep, I remember it and there was even behind-the-scenes footage that MTV showed in a special.

Re: ON FILM: Janet Jackson 1814

Awww, she was all in love then... with Rene Elizondo.

Anyhow, I wonder whether she can still perform those moves now? Or is that like asking Michael Jordan if he can still dunk?

That's the crazy part. She can still do those moves like they came out yesterday. And yeah...her was in love at that time. Makes me wonder what they fought about because it wasn't until she left him that we found out they were even with each other!

Re: What are you favorite Janet Jackson songs?

The song Special makes me really feel special.

I hope they do a campaign for helping orphaned and impoverished children around the world with the song.

Re: Janet 2011 Tour: Number Ones Up Close and Personal

Fellow Janet fan here... ;)

Yes, this tour is selling incredibly well. Lots of good things happening for us Janet fans.

As for JUB, don't know why Janet isn't more loved here. She has a HUGE LGBTQ fanbase.

Re: Janet 2011 Tour: Number Ones Up Close and Personal

Can't wait for the party to start here on 7th Feb!

Be it a fan or not, she can't be missed for anything else!

Re: Janet 2011 Tour: Number Ones Up Close and Personal

I hope there's a FL date announced soon...

Re: Janet 2011 Tour: Number Ones Up Close and Personal

Such a shame, so young and already doing an oldies tour.

Guess nostalgia sells plenty.

First of all, Janet's shows have always been greatest hits tours, with the required select number of new songs from whatever album she had just come out with. Unlike some other stars who seem to not always want to perform their classic hits for their fans (or remix them to death), Janet has always stated that she didn't like how she went to shows and never heard the classics she loved from artists because they somehow no longer liked performing their hits. So, Janet has always given her fans the hits, primarily.

Second, this is a tour in support of her latest greatest hits 2-disc "Number Ones" album (known as "The Best" internationally). So, it makes complete sense that she would be doing such for this particular show.

And lastly, those couple other old school pop divas are also technically "oldies" even with their multi-million dollar budget productions. For the most part, at least to the casual fan and ticket-buyer, like every artist who has had their commercial high, most people are buying tickets in response to nostalgia...and hearing their favorite hits. For most of the original pop divas, their biggest hits were a while ago.
Madge and Kylie did greatest hits tours (Re-invention, Showgirl/Showgirl Homecoming)...So when Janet does it, it's an "oldies tour"?

Re: Janet 2011 Tour: Number Ones Up Close and Personal

Janet is not even young. She's middle aged already. And she has a greatest hits album to promote.

Re: Janet 2011 Tour: Number Ones Up Close and Personal

Long time Janet fan here. Looking forward to a London date this time around. Hopefully the European leg will be announced in the next couple of weeks!

One thing I've learned after all these of being a Janet fan is that she is always set to a much different and higher standard than everyone else, including her own peers

Re: Janet 2011 Tour: Number Ones Up Close and Personal

I won't be going but thanks for the info. It's been a tough road for JJ since the wardrobe malfunction but it's good to see her still plugging away. I've seen her 3x in concert and while she's a solid entertainer, I do wish she'd make some serious changes to her live shows. They're identical but w/ diff. costumes.

Re: Janet 2011 Tour: Number Ones Up Close and Personal

^I couldn't agree with you more. I'm a huge fan of Janet, but changes need to be made to her live shows. Do fans still want to hear "Rhythm Nation" and sit through a "Whimsical" section tour after tour?
