Unfortunate. I had a feeling it was coming...but at least she lived a long life. She surpassed life expectancy and will always be remembered. :)

Damn. First Robin William, now Joan Rivers. Two great comedy icons of my life.

I remember some of Joan's first days on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.

I just watched one of her stand up shows on Netflix (?) the other day.

That's all I could think about too - two of the greater comedians in life, gone.

As if this wasn't already a bleak day... at least we get to know that she passed on peacefully. :(

Was just reading about this, she apparently had a cardiac event whilst undergoing a simple procedure. She had amazing success, may she rest in peace.
 
What I loved most about her and her comedy was how she took jabs at herself, never afraid to make fun of her plastic surgeries, looks or age. Nothing was off limits.

I too will miss our Friday night dates on Fashion Police. She was hilarious and I truly did LOL with Joan.

Rest in piece, Joan. You will be sadly missed.

I hope you and Edgar are sweetly joined again.

Loved her--could not believe she was so vital and relevant as a comic at 81---with several generations loving her. RIP- will miss you and your amazing energy.

Joan Rivers was a comic with her own "voice."
She was the role model for many of today's female comics.
She could be funny, crude, and truthful, all at the same time!
May she rest in peace....
