Wow! Sorry to bump in but I've been watching AFL lately here (on Eurosport 2) and wow, those tight shorts on those muscular guys LOL. :p

BTW, I can only remember 2 teams, they show very often: The Sydney Swans and the West Coast Eagles.

They're a lot baggier than they used to be, and many footballers today wear those long lycra thingies underneath them for extra protection. Back in the 80's and early 90's their shorts were REALLY short & tight! ......

They're still pretty tight, though! Or, shall we say tight enough to serve the purpose! ;)

To business:

Pies
Hawks
Power
Doggies
SAINTS
Roos
Cats
Dockers

Didn't Matty Maguire look handsome on the Footy Show last night! :luv2:

For Sale to the highest bidder, my unending support for a football team that can win games and not lose games to lowly teams on the ladder.

A trip across the West Gate and down the Princes Highway to the shores of the Barwon is looking enticing..........

Well, maybe it was time.....

No derby win. Just Ozguy eating humble pie. Long enough trip from Subi to Albany to eat numerous helpings of the said food.

Last night on "Can We Help You" on ABCTV, the panel were discussing the origins of the expression "eating humble pie". It was mentioned that local variations which meant the same thing included "eating boiled crow". I wonder if the local variations extend to "eating boiled magpie"?

Wobble, wobble, toil and trobble.........

AJ.....Were you ever seriously a chance to beat us???? I don't think so......Actually am hoping you sneak in, would love to see you knock out the Pies, Power or the Hawks....I am so sick of Hawthorn supporters this year!

It was a pretty disappointing round of tipping from most of us, but congrats to asstroboy who came out on top with 6 correct tips .....

gjgwb has jumped to the top of the leaderboard by just 1 over Benny1, but Ramindra is hot on the heels of both of them. An exciting race to the finish line coming up, guys!! ......

For anyone who may be interested, please note that I have tipped the Pies to win this week!

Others I expect to see in the winner's circle are

Dons
Dockers
Lions
EAGLES
Hawks
Cats
Crows

And I am pleased to note that Matthew, whoever Matthew is, has not made a post about the AFL.

The ROO is one of the reasons why Aussie Rules is such a great game. He is a credit to the game and somebody that all kids should look up to and try to emulate. Crows supporters and non-Crows supporters alike will be sorry to see him go.

Like most in the tipping comp I'm not doing all that well ... so whis week I've decided to take a chance and tip against the flow for a couple of matches.

I'm predicting the Eagles and and the Cats to be beaten by the Tigers and the 'Roos. Let's see if that bumps my score up a tad!
