Nelson Mandela

With the hut/home seen behind the helicopter it looks as if the pic was taken in a rural area, quite possibly Qunu in the Transkei interior of the Eastern Cape. This is where Mandela grew up and has retired to.
He is a Xhosa and the eastern part of the Eastern Cape is the traditional home of the Xhosa nation.

Thanks buttons, Now I have to plan that trip to N B. My dad was born in Grand-Anse close to Moncton. We still get our milk here on the farm in glass bottles.

That's a real blast from the past! I don't know when I last saw a bottle of milk! Do you remember when those glass bottles had a layer of butterfat floating on top??

The swing bridge across the Storms River. Here the river passes through the Tsitsikamma National Park before entering the Indian Ocean on the Southern Cape coast.

Tsitsikamma is a Khoisan (early inhabitants of the area) word meaning, “place of much water.”

One last look at Hopewell.

When I was there that morning at high tide I noticed something familiar in the shape of one of the rocks, well I thought so at least. But it could have been my imagination running away with me ;)
