I can't believe it, my feet have got fat. My ankles are big, fat blobs at the end of my legs.

Maybe it's fluid buildup and they're just a bit swollen? Happened to me a few times, had to get a second and then third opinion, as second opinion was gleefully dishonest. Then again, you probably see your ankles on a regular basis, whereas mine are too far away, I found out by sensation and shoe difficulties.

Maybe compression socks could help, but Rare's advice is probably healthier.

Ugh. Been up since 1am, worked 2am-10am and it's about quarter after 4 and I can't fall asleep.

This shit is getting worse. Saying certain LGBT people have a "mental illness." That's really something nice to hear coming from a family member you grew up with.

Survived the flight there.

Do not every go to Dubrovnik in August; the crowds and the heat were unbearable.

The flight back was hell; one couple completely unable to control their child who screamed for the whole flight because he couldn't get his own way. Three flights in the arrivals with just two passport controllers. No bus arrived to transport all the people into Nice so all hell happened when one finally arrived after 40 mins. Why is it only the British know how to queue.

Thank goodness I am home.

I would NEVER go to a place like that in the middle of summer.

I've been "overseas" four times (or, as many as seven times, if Bahamas and twice to Hawai'i count). Not even one of those trips has ever taken place during calendar summer.

Last year's trip to Italy and parts of former Yugoslavia did extend a couple of days past Memorial Day weekend (i.e. to 01 or 02 June) which is the beginning of "meteoroligical summer" AND "tourist summer" and even that meager creep-a-little-into-summer scheduling was a reluctant necessity, as the trip couldn't have happened otherwise.

I have just been reading that the mayor of Dubrovnik is going to restrict the number of cruise liners visiting and reduce the number of tourists entering the town down to 4000. Too late for me.

My guy and I have been together (officially) for seven months. We've known each other for well over a year. But things are different. The fun seems gone. He's very irritable lately with work and I want to support him in everything he does, but I fear that once his current huge project is over, he'll delve right into the next one and I'll soon realize that what's being presented now as "just a stressful time" will reveal itself to actually be everyday life.

I love him, will always care for him and support him, but I'm wondering if I need a break.

But on the flip, I've gotten so used to sleeping by his side every night that I don't know how I'd truly react to any change.

What shall I do?
