All my hurdles feel like they're the size of goal posts... and I hate you for making me use a sports reference! ;)

My biggest hurdle isn't that I underestimate my own abilities - I think I've got a good grasp on that. It's that I always overestimate everybody else's. I assume everybody else has everything all together. They know precisely what they want and how to get it, they can sell it like nobody's business, and they walk in, shake hands, and leave with a lifetime contract. And they both look over at me like "What's this insecure guy with his 'potential ideas' doing here?" I have to keep reminding myself...well, not that I'm on the same level as THEM. More like they're on the same level as ME. They're as insecure and fumbling around as I am. So they don't really have a leg up on me, even if I feel they do.

They do, in as much as they're the ones holding the cash you'd like to part from them.

Yeah--it takes a lot of thinking outside of the box these days, I guess? I think. You really have to work hard to do something/and present yourself in a way that no one has before. I'm just trying to find the box in general. Not trying to toot my own horn, but I know I am capable of doing something memorable--but I just have to pull it out of myself.

I think entrepreneurship would be fun but I think it's so much harder to do today, with such huge, established, global mass-production competition and so much cost of startup today that I almost feel like we missed the time to really do that by about forty years. :/ I mean my grandfather literally, bam, rent a small office and he's a law firm. In his time. Today it's such a nightmare of filing for a corporate identity or becoming an LLC and having the right kinds of insurance for your business and fees and licenses and then on top of all of that you have to work your tail off to *maybe* not fail in your first 2 years and the odds are against you. Oh and someone in China is doing what you're doing for 10 cents on the dollar. :/ And people are buying it at Wal*Mart.

get your mind out of the gutter. ;) lol

Boom chika bawm bawm.

Of course, if I was being totally honest, what I really want to do is lay around in a robe like a greek philosopher and have rich people pay to send their kids to hear me ramble at them all day. Yesssss. Dream job.

??? It's already done, isn't it ? I believe most all of our bills come in e-mail, and the BF pays them on line out of his checking account.

Pretty much the only "real" mail we get are store advertisements.

I think we still get some physical bills in the mail, but we've set them all up to pay online.

Yahoo is Notorious for being hacked in general. Their servers are constantly being hacked into. Everyone I know that has had a Yahoo e-mail account has at some point sent me spam/viagra ads, and I'm sure those same hackers steal Credit Card info from those they can.

Well... there's always going to be pirates, hackers, snake oil salesmen, scam artists, and counterfeiters. If you have something of value (or money), there will be someone out there trying to figure out a way of taking it away from you (or figure out how to try and trick it away from you).

I have an unpleasant experience with Google mails (they locked out my account). So I am sticking to yahoo for now. But I think it really depends on how you use it. I usually use separate E-mails for separate occasions, school / purchase etc. I have really bad memory so usually I write them down somewhere

It is pretty bad-- it's to the point where I never react to any e-mail, so if they ever are trying to tell me anything important via e-mail, I will miss it. I've been burned so many times with fake sites and lookalike sites and virus links. I probably get like 4 or 5 "alerts" or "important messages" from my "bank" in the mail everyday and I think 99% of them are fake.

So I never do anything now unless it involves going directly to the bank/utility website directly and managing it there.

Was Yahoo really that bad? Dang I must be missing something. I haven't receive much junk mail or Spam. Hmm maybe I need to recheck my account.

I actually don't use yahoo for my personal e-mail... I don't know HOW this stuff happens, if it was my e-mail or if my bank's customer info got leaked, but it 'appears' like legit e-mails from my bank except why would they be sending me like 4 or 5 "OMG IMPORTANT ALERT" e-mails to me everyday when everything's fine at the website? lol.

i was being very nice to a former classmate of mine from high school. she was in my brother's grade.

but i will say this though. she kind of rubbed me the wrong way when i asked her about her situation. i was willing to pitch in to help and she sort of gave me an attitude a bit. i was READY to flip on her for a second when she gave me the wrong look and said whatever but i calmed myself down. went to the car about to call for roadside assistance for her and then she asked for a ride home. i dropped her off and that's that.

good luck to her and her problem.

Maybe it was that look you had on your face... maybe she thought you were going to rape her ?

That's pretty scary. Man I need to pay more attention to my e-mails :(

Get in the habit of changing your password too... although that won't really help you if Yahoo is hacked.
