Re: I like Lady Gaga's song G.U.Y.

I thought the Zeus "head in the clouds" was James Vanderbeek.

Re: Lady Gaga Discussion Thread - 2014 edition

I don't understand why EvilTwinTwo feels the need bash a pop singer online on a gay porn forum. But I mean, if that makes you feel better about your life, then whatever, but you look really pathetic.

Re: I like Lady Gaga's song G.U.Y.

really wish Andy wasn't in the vid. he is a tool. but otherwise its pretty cool. I think its shot at Hearst Castle.

Re: I like Lady Gaga's song G.U.Y.

The video is actually very nice, but the song is utter rubbish, as 95% of that disastrous collection of deafening cacophonies ARTPOP.

I'll give her this: when she actually tries, she does a good job - unlike her two closest competitors, Madonna and Britney, who were never even mediocre and have become utterly intolerable.

Re: I like Lady Gaga's song G.U.Y.

Very cool that it was shot at Hearst Castle. I was just there last summer.

Re: Lady Gaga Discussion Thread - 2014 edition

Am I misunderstanding the comment? Do you think Gaga is the first to have choreographed dance moves?

Oh no, she definitely isn't. Michael Jackson, etc....

I meant it in a way that it feels like forever where I've seen choreographed moves in a big music video production in a long time. It's refreshing.

Re: I like Lady Gaga's song G.U.Y.

I like the song too but I haven't watched the video clip yet

Re: Lady Gaga Discussion Thread - 2014 edition

That's all he does here, just a troll, and a bad one at that.

Gaga's goal is to have people talking about her. I suspect that the member in question is happy that you're discussing him instead of Gaga.

The ignore feature still works... click here to ignore EvilTwinTwo.

Just sayin'.

Ignore feature isn't full proof when other people respond and it still continues to disrupt the thread anyway.

Just sayin'.

Re: Lady Gaga Discussion Thread - 2014 edition

I didn't know the point of having a discussion was only to like something.

Just sayin', since apparently we're ALL just sayin'.

Re: Lady Gaga Discussion Thread - 2014 edition

If said person was actually interested in a discussion that would be fine.

Re: Lady Gaga Discussion Thread - 2014 edition

What about focusing on those that ARE having a discussion? Worked for me when Whitney Houston came up. Had SexyKev followed that advice, he'd probably still be here.

I mean, the person calling for him to be banned isn't immune from doing the same snide things with different artists(Kelis recently), and when it comes to divas, people (usually) post slanted articles anyway. Just so happens his are to the right.

Here's a discussion piece for ya - it's become sacrilege these days to note that one album has done worse than the other or isn't as interesting(Artpop vs Born This Way), because if you do that either you were never a fan, or "just a hater" - and then when you add that she's in the forefront of gay rights, not liking her and her antics is seen as being against that too. Why the hell is that? Is noting that the fire being missing in this album such a bad thing that it's like stabbing someone in the face? Is noting that focusing on being a (bad) shock artist rather than a singer such a travesty?

Re: Lady Gaga Discussion Thread - 2014 edition

I am not asking for anyone to be banned, but the individual has posted multiple times in this thread and the previous one that the album is a flop. What's the point of posting that over and over other than to start conflict?

And as for the other questions, that is awful fandom. I like her music but I am not a fan of everything she has done or feel that I need to be loyal to her to the point of not criticizing her of anything. In general there is a weird "loyalty" people attach to liking artists/celebrities that I will never understand.

Re: Lady Gaga Discussion Thread - 2014 edition

Oh please, I'm not going to defend myself to someone who doesn't understand the history of the problem. No, it's not just disagreeing with my opinion, it's the general harassment I've dealt with since I joined two years ago. This includes post comments, and following me around JUB to make trollish comments towards me that are off topic to the main topic.

I understand better than you think I do, and even cited an example of my understanding - but sure, take offense to me noting that you want him banned for doing things that you yourself have done. Everybody has a persecution complex these days... it's a little sad.

Re: Lady Gaga Discussion Thread - 2014 edition

Has she given up on Artflop already? Is that why she made one video for all three songs.

Re: Lady Gaga Discussion Thread - 2014 edition

If I were a mod I would ban the OBVIOUS TROLL that everyone unanimously dislikes and agrees is an obvious troll.

There's nothing in the Code of Conduct about trolling. What is in the Code of Conduct is that the best way to put out a flame war is to stop putting in more fuel.

Ignore feature isn't full proof when other people respond and it still continues to disrupt the thread anyway.

Just sayin'.

Ergo my comment that it's ironic to fault a celebrity for craving attention when that's what trolls are ultimately after, isn't it?

I have mixed feelings about some of these celebrities who have talent but who compete in a market where talent doesn't get them as far as controversy and fame-whoring do. It's sad that this is what it is. For every Adele or Kelly Clarkson, there's a celebrity who wears cone bras, who forgets to wear panties when getting out of their limo, who is in and out of rehab, leaks a list of their sexual conquests and, yes, who hires a "vomit artist" to puke on them during their performances.

All are fair game for discussion and deconstruction here.

However, there's also a difference between stating an opinion of a performance versus repeatedly returning to a thread to antagonize people who post frequently in it. :D

Of this, I will concur. :-)
