she was lip synching the performance last night.

i am anti-gaga. and i wouldn't call what she did art. but, i did like her performance at the vma's last night. she did good.

oh. and there are many talentless people in the music industry. that can't hit a note or write a lyric. or play anything. you must not listening to pop radio much. i mean sucking grampy cock to get a record deal could be considered talent. but, let's not go overboard with the definition of talent.

I didn't read everything everyone wrote above cause I don't have that much time in the day, lol. But she is a performance artists. Most of you just aren't us to seeing that. She DOES have talent. Stop arguing that! Her voice is very good. She sang live. She had a backing vocal for when she was dancing. You could hear it was live. I just think some people look at something and don't know what they are looking at. Stick to Beyonce still doing different versions of Bootylicious 10 years later and leave GaGa for the clever crowd that gets it.

i love her and all she does! loved the Heaven and Hell outfits, and the Paparazzi performance, it was all about how far you would go to be famous, and how even at ur darkest moments, you are still on display for the worlds enjoyment!

i will admit. before seeing her live, I thought she was a fake singer propped up by a company. but after seeing her, I know she is the real thing.

Just think of it this way, as far as pop music goes, she's not bad. Pop music is not really about talent or necessarily what the music sounds like, it's about an overall idea that you can sell. Beyonce is a diva, britney spears had the whole innocent-gone-bad thing, etc. etc.

So I started thinking, okay, maybe I'm not supposed to take this entirely seriously. We're supposed to not look too much into this, laugh along and just take it in. So then I watched the paparazzi video, really liked the concept and the costumes, and then got the chorus stuck in my head. I still think it's kinda dumb, but it's just for fun.

Remember, it's pop music. We're not looking to break barriers here, we're looking to sell an image and to sell records.



The VMA performance was memorable, you have to admit. If the previous post about it being based on an opera is true, that's pretty cool. I just love the image of her hanging there with blood IN HER EYES. So gross and awesome.

lol people forget Madonna in the early years.

i am no Madonna fan, but Gaga and Madonna both have a flair for the dramatic and fun. They don't give a shit about other people, and they work it.

Admittedly, Lady Gaga can sing better than Madonna.

I love Gaga but I was actually expecting more of a performance. I figured she'd do some kind of medley with more than one song. Still liked it though.

I think that Lady GaGa is a very talented woman, and she is usually very artistic and fashionable in her videos. She definitely hit is off in the VMA's, I've been watching it over and over, and I now have Paparazzi stuck in my head, lol.

She's probably my favorite artist at the moment. When I listen to the radio these days (Pop/Hip-Hop/Rap radio stations), I hear either the same old thing or songs from DJs that are not that great (Birthday Sex). But, Lady Gaga is unique yet familiar, and her hooks are one of the best.

To me, she's an artist because she's able to create a catchy song in minutes (I heard she wrote Just Dance in 4 minutes, but I got that off of Wikipedia so). I admit, I didn't like her at first. I took one look at her and thought she was another sleezy Christina Aguilera wannabe. However, I got addicted to her songs and soon I started loving her attitude. Her fashion is weird, that too I admit.

Just Dance, LoveGame and Poker Face are reasons why she is an artist. It's not her looks that make her artist.

Shes so awesome and crazily funny, you gotta love her for being different. Thought i have to say my favorite of hers was when she wore that full red body suit.. makes me laugh everytime

She is a song writer. I don't know if you know this but writing music is not very easy to do. Especially hits. But yeah, talentless ;)

Just because you hate her outfits,songwriting, songs, etc.

At the end of the day she CAN sing and play piano very well. And she was accepted into Tisch School of the Arts, which is VERY prestigious.


I can't stand Eminem. His songs,videos,lyrics, etc. That's my opinion and I'm entitled to it. BUT I can't say he's completely not talented. He CAN rap.

Even If I don't like what he raps, or how he raps. HE CAN RAP (and sell records).

Next time actually make a valid comprehensive argument to how she's "not talented" or stop hating.

And that goes for almost every other artist that get's trashed on these threads. You guys need to seperate your hate/annoyance for someone from reality. I fucking can't stand Eminem but he's talented.

Just because you admit someone's talented doesn't mean you're a fan or that you even like them.

And seriously don't make yourself look like even more of a douche and comment on her being ugly. This is exactly whats happening with Susan Boyle. People have made this "ugly duckling, small town girl" thing just to sell her. Instead of a talented singer we have to justify her not looking a certain way first. People are so shallow it's not even funny.
