Looking - Season 2

Pretty great episode. This one really bumped up the comedy compared to most episodes, particularly with Patrick. Not only is his dorkiness revealing itself more and more, but Groff is so much better this season, that his comic timing and delivery really hits the mark. I can't tell if his performance really is that much better this season, or if his character is increasingly comfortable with himself revealing himself.
I still don't see any sort of romantic chemistry or sexual tension between Kevin and Patrick. This sexual relationship is born out of convenience and opportunity. They get along well and have fun and let loose. I can see why they would connect being the only gay men in the office, again opportune. But that's it. They're good friends having sex with each other and one is the other's boss. Neither seems emotionally invested. What makes it worth cheating for?

Augustin on the street... it's hard to feel bad for him.

Agreed, except for the lack of sexual tension. I think its convenience for Patrick, but for Kevin it is his want/need to please his parents that he is gravitated towards Patrick, which his friends alluded to a couple of times during the episode. I think by the end of the episode, he is starting to realize he might be attracted more to the idea of Patrick than the reality of Patrick.

I just hope Richie does not get sucked back into being with Kevin. He is way too cool and attractive for that. Give the dude his own story line already *|*!
 
I'm glad I found a place to talk about Looking that isn't completely filled with people saying how much they hate the show and the characters.

So far Season 2 has been a bit dull. I am hoping it picks up. Season 1 was a bit dull but it picked up gradually. I am hoping that Season 2 does as well. I enjoy watching Jonathan Groff and his boss, who is a hottie!
 
Tonight's episode was my favourite episode of the series so far. I really enjoyed the sex scene and the shower scene.

Same! I thought Richie was hot already, but when he has that mad/serious demeanor, (not to mention I think I have a thing for barbers too) oh man (ww):p...

Anyways, I really hope the writers do not make him and Augustin go beyond being just cordial. I think it will be a good story line, because I see them starting to explore Augustin's insecurities about his Hispanic heritage and the Hispanic/Latino gay experience through both of these characters, which would be good in adding more diverse perspectives to the show.

BUT. If they end up together in any way romantically I will stop watching this show. Richie is too good for every character that I have seen on this show so far.

I agree the episode was very interesting. Can´t wait to get rid of Kevin though :mrgreen:

Haha I know right I'm ridiculous. I've never been so infatuated with a television character/actor ever, but something about that guy makes me feel like a 13 year old girl... and I'm 25 #-o

I want to marry that guy though --%--
 
My partner got me to start watching this show and we watched the latest episode tonight. Looks to be an interesting show with lots of intertwining storylines, sure to keep us tuning in for more. :-)

I know, right? I´m being a fanboy about the show myself. Somehow, the guy I find to be incredibly handsome is the stright black dude. I wouldn´t mind a nude scene with that one :luv:

I'm sure that was directed towards my last post.

This may be difficult for a simple person to understand, but it IS possible for a person to like a show (and the characters) without agreeing with everything they do. I am not attacking the show or the characters, rather expressing my disgust at their actions.

Please have several seats with that weak shade.
