Lost: The Final Season!!!!!! Feb. 2, 2010!!

Damn ... we need to organize a LOST SEASON FINALE PARTY ON JUB ahahahahah

OHMYGOD! I need to get and finish watching the other seasons!!! Only have a month!

So is this going to be the thread that we all post in when discussing the latest episodes?

im not sure yet..
LOL we'll see what happens but I think this going to be our new offical thread... ahahahahaha

Okey to everyone ??? good...

Yay, Lost starts in 3 weeks. And I'm bumping this new Lost thread because apparently Scains thinks the other "bothered me so much".

yeah Boston Sam is joining the fun in the Lost Threads !!! eheheheheh

and I cant fucking wait

Here's the "Everything you need to know about Lost" the complete season 1-5 edition. Good for clearing the cobwebs before resuming this long strange journey.

i'm not too worried about the ratings.

There's kind of a huge buzz around this last season.

Lost first year---excellent
Lost second year---frustrating and uneven: characters begin to disintegrate inside a crazy plot
Lost third year---maddening and ridiculous---only 2 episodes I loved
Lost fourth year---improved
Lost fifth year---gave up half way

My list of good things that I hope will happen (but I won't sit in the stupid hatch waiting...)

Ben dies instantly
Dharma ceases to be
Widmore dies instantly
Early characters get some grit back and quit worrying about lustmates
Claire has lines
The island loses its internet connection
Rousseau and Eko return from the dead and murders all the writers
Boone has reappearances that are meaningful---not just hey look there's Boone!
Same with other likable dead characters---let's see them smack the living around
Jack does not cry
Kate does not give in to men
Locke does not do dishes
Sawyer continues to maintain his relative character integrity inspite of five years of the writers' messing up characters whenever they could
Walt avenges his father (by killing the writer who even thought of the season 2 and beyond Dawson family story line)
The numbers add structure to the story again
Some mysteries are resolved
The island exacts its revenge by expelling all these stupid people from its shores

and

maybe we shall see the footprints of the next incarnation of Randall Flagg

in the end, don't mind me. every so often I have to rant as to how much Lost has driven me crazy. carry on.

did anyone else hear about how ALL the cast members are gonna appear for this season? as in including everybody who died? i have a theory that the premiere is gonna be set up making it out to be that the bomb caused a reset and everybody is at the airport or something. but, this being LOST, something's gonna happen that makes it all happen someway or another. 'cause fate is a bitch that we can't beat. (faraday: "whatever happened, happened")

i've been rewatching it on hulu, starting with season 2. has anyone else noticed how no character has a happy ending? the first season sets the show up to be a cast full of characters who made mistakes and had shitty lives, but are ready to start over and redeem on the island. then along comes season 2 where we find out that these people start out with shitty lives, and are damned to have shitty lives. some examples:
- boone dies from his injuries from the plane soon after he finally gets over shannon
- shannon is shot and killed by ana lucia about 5 seconds after she and sayid profess their love for each other. if nobody remembers, she had never found anybody who ever truly believed in or accepted her, but sayid did
- ana lucia is shot and killed by michael after she makes the decision to not kill ben because she just didn't want to be a killer anymore
- libby just dies
- eko is killed by the monster after he comes to term with all the horrible things he's done since they had been to protect himself and his brother
- michael dies after he, according to ben, "atones" for the murders of ana lucia and libby by blowing up the kahana

i guess our favorite passengers are gonna stick around as long as there's some sort of shit that's haunting them.

i just realized how overboard i went in this post

Actually people shouldn't get their hopes up for the returning characters being long term. I read an article with the guy playing Boone (Ian somethingorother?) saying that they are coming back in expanded "flashback" rolls. Not longterm reoccurring rolls.

Damon Lindelof has admitted that Lost fans will not get answers to questions about the island.

Previously, the executive producer had promised that fans would get more answers about the series in the sixth season premiere than the first five seasons put together.

However, Lindelof has said that those answers will not involve questions surrounding the island's mythology.

"There are certain questions I'm very befuddled by, like, 'What is the island?' or 'What do the numbers mean?'" he told SFX.

"We're going to be explaining significantly more about the numbers, but what is a potential answer to 'What do the numbers mean?' I feel like you have to be very careful about entering into midi-chlorian territory."

He added: "[The island] is a place. I can't explain to you why it travels through space-time, it just does. You have to accept that.

"So we intend to answer the big questions, but in terms of the island itself, there will be questions left unanswered after the show ends."

Lost returns for its sixth and final season Tuesday, February 2 on ABC.

I have a feeling there are going to be some disappointed people.

I don't know if this classes as a spoiler, I don't think so but just in case (because I don't know how to do those Spoiler things):

Emilie De Ravin has given fans a hint of what to expect when she returns to Lost this season.

The actress has starred as Claire Littleton since the pilot episode of the ABC drama, but her character seemed to mysteriously vanish from the island during the fourth season.

It was recently confirmed that she will reprise the role for the sixth and final run of the show.

Speaking to MTV News, she said: "When I'm coming back to the island, I'm coming back in a pretty unexpected way and there's a whole other Claire for me to explore and play with, which has been so much fun, but also getting to play with who I was, with flashback stuff."

When asked to elaborate, she replied: "Without being murdered in my sleep due to exposing secrets of the series, it's a different Claire, a different side of her, one I never thought I'd be playing. That's all I can say."

De Ravin also revealed that she made a "conscious decision" not to watch the fifth season, explaining: "Claire wasn't there, so I thought it was interesting to not be too in touch with what was going on with the other characters. That gave another side to the mystery for me."

Lost returns to ABC in February and Sky1 in the UK.

Interesting that Emilie didn't watch season 5 so she can feel more clueless as to what happened with the other characters... though I am sure some people will say it's because she's so conceited she couldn't watch it without herself in it.

It's probably more down to the fact that she's been filming, like, 3 movies in between.

ehehehehe 2 weeks to go...

This isn't even funny. I'm only just at the beginning of season 3!

I need to get moving! Unfortunately, the ModNation Racers beta is downloading right now so I'm slightly worried!

Next week!!!!

"expect another change in dimension. . ."
"you're gonna see a whole new way of telling a story. . ."
"you're definitely going to get some answers to alot of big questions. . . more questions to answers as well."
"season 6 has thwarted my expectations!"

It's a good thing I just checked the calendar. I didn't realize that Lost would be airing on Tuesdays instead of Wednesdays this season.

Better be a satisfying ending or a lot of us are going to riot! :grrr:

I've seen some documentary on the 5th season, and it seems like the writers were really amazed at how every detail of the show has been examined by the fans. They seem to originally have been pretty naive about what mysteries to put. But they also said, it would all make sense in the end.

I'm worried.

And excited! :)

ANSWERS? You will find this either extremely funny or extremely discouraging.
