Camera closes in on Jack and Sawyer sitting on the beach.

LOL! I'd be pissed if that happened, but it is plausible. I agree that Hurley will be the new overseer of the Island, but I don't know, it could be a red herring.

I am so relived Ben is still with us! I was on pins and needles throughout the entire episode especially when he sacrificed the principal's job for Alex's letter of recommendation. I was so certain his demise scene was imminent. Thank the gods it wasn't the case. I FUCKING LOVE BEN.
 
So, now that it has been established that Ben and his father HAD been on the island in the past (leaving during the events of 1977), I wonder if "P-X world" Ben will recognize Jack/James/Kate if he ever bumps into them.
 
So that was a good episode but not because we got answers.

It was a good episode thanks to Mr Emerson and his incredible way of acting !!

I don't see Hugo becoming overseer of the island. He is just a tool to Jacob, helping him get through to Jack. Jack is Jacob's man, which we know from the Lighthouse episode. Sawyer will become MIB's man. Jack & Sawyer have always had a leadership rivalry ever since season 1. Which is why I say the show will end the way I described.

Or not. It could still end in a way that will take us all by surprise. Or take us all as idiots.
 
I dont think the show will end with the scene you describe.

But im with you for the Sawyer Vs Jack.
But thats too obvious, and obvious doesnt rhyme with LOST.
 
Just in case anyone DVD's the show like I do, so I don't have to put up with the freakin' commercials, the show is 66 minutes this week. Adjust accordingly so you record the ending. It is followed by a V recap.
 
We're already at the halfway mark to the series finale. I'm already starting to think about how lost I will be without any more Lost, ever.
 
I didn't know that the actor who plays Ben is married to the actress that plays Arlene in TrueBlood. Weird.
 
I remember the actor that plays Ben, from "The Practice" where he was so GOOD at playing an evil stalker/serial killer for many episodes. I love this scene which (not shown) leads to him pretending to be a "fake confesser" when in actuality, as shown later, he really did the crime and gets away with it (at least from what I remember)......

Ok I have to admit this is by far one of my favortie episode of LOST ever along with the Pilot (S.1) , Eggtown (S.4) & Ji Yeon (S.4)


I loved loved it, We get answers even if some fans are not happy bout it, I still love it.

- SO we know Richard's past which is a good thing.
- The Black rock smashed the statue YAYYYY

I still have a hard time to choose who is a good guy and who is not.


If we consider the fact that the island doesnt exist in AR, then that would mean that the "devil" is out there, and I dont see how is it so different in that reality considering what Jacob says to Rich.

I didnt get what happened when the black smoke screened richard. Why was he the only one spared ?

This episode was like a feature film.... damn it was good

It was a brilliant episode. The filming of the sea voyage and the wreck. The performance was riveting. The story line was chilling and telling. I was mesmerized.

Thats some GREAT entertaining, because for the ones who're not pleased with the answers, I just want to say : dont forget LOST is a TV show meant to be entertaining so chill out ;)


I cant believe we only have 7 episodes left...
 
Here is something I want to know. And personally, I think the writers, in a hurry to finish this last season and tie up lose ends, have created a blooper that they won't/can't address.
If the Island is meant to keep MIB in check, protecting the world, then what has become of Jacob and MIB in the Sideways Timeline? Remember, the Island in that timeline is sunk. I think that the producers, rushing to finish, never considered this. So, I do not really think it is going to be addressed.
I am not a member of any LOST blogs/forums, but maybe someone who is can find out if the producers have been asked about, or have plans to, deal with this quandary.
 
Very entertaining episode. Now it's time to end all this metaphorical hoopla and time for them to start talking some real sense.

BTW, the series finale title was announced today. It's "The End". Really.
 
I (and others, from what I hear on the net) would love to see a spinoff of Officer Miles and his partner James.........One who can hear the last thoughts of the dead, and the other, who is secretly searching for the man he wants to kill...|..|..|..|
