I lurked for years - reading avidly, but afraid to share. I'm still very selective on the posts I respond to. That's why my post count is so low for being a member for so long. It's been both a very rewarding experience for me and also an occasional stab through the heart. But when you come right down to it, I feel at least a few more people on the planet know I exist now and I'm not totally alone and without friends who will be there when I need them.

I agree Andreus, this is a great idea for a thread and hopefully more people will participate too!!

I lurked for about a month after signing up. I thought "No one gives a shit what I think so I'll just keep reading." Then I was like "Well, I don't give a shit if people don't like what I think" so I definitely post much more now.

Sometimes it is constructive, other times its just for fun!

I don't post a lot but I'm here. I try to give helpful advice when I feel I have something to offer. May start a thread someday, just haven't thought of the right topic yet.

For what it's worth... I'm happy that you guys decided to post. I can understand that feeling of wondering if what you post is relevant or worthwhile because we've all been there. The thing is your viewpoints are valid and are desired. Take that to heart the next time you wonder. :)
