That whole statement was made around some pretty foolish generalizations, and rather than waste my time explaining what you could obviously go back and rethink, I'll say this...

It's that same generalized spotted logic that I hear being used to justify call gay men fags. Oh, "a lot of gay men call eachother fags, so I will too now." I've had to fight that one on campus so many times it's not even funny, and not once have I heard any of the gay guys on campus call eachother fags, but supposedly, all of do.

Actually... I barely get your point. If "gay" people call eachother those words (which alot do) its because they picked them up from past events or because they want to. I don't do it. I don't like the words, so I just say that I have more preference for men than women. I have tried telling that to someone in the past, but he wanted to stick with gay and/or whatever. He said its because thats what he is and hes proud of it... Oh please, what a stupid excuse.

The best way I would use the word "gay" is when I'm goign to discribe something stupid and when I going to use the word "fag", I would use it to offend anyone.
Same goes for "nigger".

As for the dawg and cat part of my first post, they were regarding the fact that black people used to be called animals...

Black people and "gays" picked up those words from the past and use them on eachother (or others) in what they think fits them best. At least thats what I have been seeing.

I didn't really get your point to me, but I hope I made my point more clear for you.

speaking of getting popped in the mouth, you use that word to "describe someone ignorant" around black people and you'll get the beat down of your life. but i'm sure you know that...i'm sure you don't have the balls anyway. racial minorities use derogataory words aimed at them with each other cause it's a way to take the power out of the word...unless you have a ghetto pass, which i sense you don't, i would stay away from using it.

Earlier today I watched the footage of Richards going off during his comedy routine. I have to say I couldn't clearly hear much of what he said. But then I read a transcript and I was amazed that he would think that kind of thing at all, let alone verbalise it publicly. It's very offensive, and also kind of sad that he would let himself down like that.

Maybe I'm naive but I do like to think that those of us who know what it's like to come from a persecuted or at least down-trodden group ought to be able to empathise with each other. Somehow when Jewish people, or gay people, or black people, or disabled people come out with hurtful or offensive things, it seems even more shocking than if an Anglo, Right-wing man had said the same thing - because it's more unexpected.

yeah...it's always made me sad that the black community and jewish communities have so much tension between them. i've never understood why considering their similar histories.
 
That was terrible.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be surprised if this actually gave his career a bump.
 
I think one of the reasons the audience continued to laugh was through nervousness and uncertainty over whether or not to take the guy serious or not. Like, was he going to follow this joke through with the punchline or was it just him going on a tirade against some noisey black people in the theatre. They soon realised that he was indeed just going on a tirade against black people and that's when they all started to get the hell out of there. I thought the part that was funny was the guy who yelled back " you've not done anything since seinfeld, you're a wash out". This seems to sum it up perfectly.

Learn to read correctly before you go and tell me things I already know...

PS: My older brother used to be ghetto. When I was a little kid he would take me to ghetto neighborhoods. It influenced me alittle, but I grew out of it with time. Then when I was older, I learned more and more about the ghetto lifestyle. I began to dislike and hate alot of things about. And alot of what you hate, you also fear.

So yes and no, I had a ghetto past.

I know this isn't need to add, but percentage of people that I have met usually ask of me or assume that I'm black. That was just alittle extra and nothing else.
 
The interview with richards dosent work , did any spindocters help him with his apology, what an asshole i hope his already washed up carrer hits below rock bottom and keeps going!
