  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

My Mayor smokes crack............does yours.

^ Just one, actually. The Liberal candidate (John Tory) is still out front, but not by much in the popularity polls. Olivia Chow (NDP) has dropped way down in third place.

As far as I'm concerned, if Toronto re-elects Ford, it's their own damned fault.

I have to point out that Tory is, in fact, the Conservative candidate. He is about as Tory as a Tory can get.

Oopsie !oops!

I'm not that familiar with Tory. I just assumed that, since Ford was Conservative (he's really Independent, but practically bedmates with Harper, at least until his antics began), Tory would be Liberal.

My mistake. (Lucky I don't live in Toronto.)

He is a red Tory though, compered to the angry reactionary conservativism of the Reform Party that Harper leads.

In bed with Harper is enough to realise that Ford is classic Reform Party, not Conservative.

Oh, look at you plagiarising what I'm thinking a few short minutes before me... heh..

Harper wouldn't know his arse from his elbow...total fukkwit

It's not certain what is going to happen. If Rob has to drop out of the race, his brother, Doug, may set in. It's unlikely that he would be re-elected in October. He has dropped way down in the polls again.

I am shocked at the media circus again. Neither hospital nor doctors have the right to comment publically on RoFo's health, unless they have his permission. Publicity stunt? Especially since such a well orchestrated media blits and a request for privacy? Pllllllease! And Chow just looked absolutely stupid trying to lead a prayer service for him. I don't wish disease on anyone, but he still needs to get out of office.

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford has been admitted to hospital with a tentative diagnosis of a tumour after suffering months of abdominal pain.

One shouldn't laugh .....
I can't stand the sanctimonious nonsense in the news. His medical condition excuses nothing and would only seem to underscore that he should go away to deal with his physical health issues. Or just go away to make the rest of us feel better.

I suspect though, that when they flipped him over to do the test...they were horrified to be looking at that much Crack.

Well, that's this day ruined. Some things you just can't unsee... even if it's only in your mind.

Talk about a Supermoon!!

^ It was, but the image it conjured in my mind wasn't of doing whatever one does with crack. (Do you snort it? Smoke it? I don't have a clue.)

Thanks. I'm pretty-much clueless when it comes to drugs. They're just not my thing. Never have been.

^ You beat me to it.

Rob is out. Doug is in:

One hour before the deadline for finalizing the candidates in the Toronto mayoral race, Rob Ford has withdrawn his candidacy, and Doug Ford has stepped in to take his place.

Rob Ford will instead be running in Ward 2, where his nephew Michael Ford was running. Michael Ford has also withdrawn his nomination as councillor for Ward 2, and is now running for school trustee of Ward 1.

It will be interesting to see the first poll results. I don't think Doug is well-liked, either. Maybe even less-so than Rob.
