I just started back up this past week after taking some time off for my knee injury. I gained 4 pounds back during that 2 weeks and am back up to 180.

I'm cutting myself a bit of a break because of the weather. We've had 2 ice storms, rain, sleet and snow in the past two weeks, plus I got a chest cold for a while.

But I'm redoubling my efforts in the near future, hopefully this week.

My trainer worked my ass off on Friday. I should have gone back to the gym this weekend but I didn't. I just wanted to stay here at the house where it was warm.

So, I guess the moral to my story is that patience will pay off in the end. And we have to keep our eye on the finish line and not the short-term goals.

I'm not sure if that makes any sense. :D

Snap, that totally makes sense and is very much true. Think of it as a lifestyle. Obviously we all wanted the "fastest" way to lose weight but what we need to focus on is patience.

You can eat less right away, starve yourself, or work out excessively and extremely vigorous to lose weight in the shortest time but will you be comfortable doing that forever? What happens when you stop?

What you need to do is fine something that you are comfortable in your own pace and time and focus on that.

It might takes months, it might takes years. who knows..but what we do know is one day you'll look in that mirror and those pictures and say "I look great!" with the most satifying smile on your face... knowing that this is how you will look from now on..than this is how you will look only temporarily.

hehehe, great attitude tommyj! Now keep the same attitude and work harder tomorrow. 1 lb is great! With the same positive thinking, 1 lb lost a day is way more than enough! ;)

Thanks to this thread, I'm going outside to shovel some snow and burn some calories!

Hey There follow Jubbers ^^

Lost twelve pounds over what seemed about a month.

Now I'm totally kicking it up a notch and tracking my diet, weight, exercise etc on my blog.

I've gone as far as looking up BMI stats and comparing them, to taking a pic of myself with only my boxers on. Also I've started a diet book on paper and I'll be posting the first entry tonight before I goto bed. I'll be posting a new pic every month on the 28th, and hope to be down to my goal or less by June 20th, the start of summer!!

Jared-t.blogspot.com for exact details.

GOOD LUCK ALL YOU GREAT JUBBERS! LETS DO THIS TOGETHER! ^^
