Never in a million years would I have thought that Newsweek or any other magazine in the USA would put out a cover like this. I am totally blown away.

The article talks about how Obama has broken his promises of 2008 leaving the USA in a mess of poverty, unemployment, budget catastrophe, the failure to manage a team to turn around the economy, and goes on and on.

WOW! Never thought I'd see the MSM abandon one of their own inventions

Niall Ferguson on Why Barack Obama Needs to Go - Newsweek and The Daily Beast

Ferguson is a conservative Brit. Consider your source.

They just gave him a week to be the cover story. That's it. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Add to that Newsweek has been in shambles for the past decade and needed some yellow journalism. The only news magazine that still has some heft is The Economist.

.
was it this guy Niall Fergerson who interrupts Obama during his speech ?

Agreed.

Newsweek will cease production of its print edition in September. The "internets" only. Just sayin'.

I believe the New Yorker cover is mocking neocons who claim that Obama is a Muslim. The cover is fine. Neocons are an interesting breed. Spit in their collective faces and they'll think it's raining! :##:

The concept can be confusing. In reality, one of Obama's HartMarx suits is made of muslin.

Newsweek and The Daily Beast are liberal.

I understand. It's hard to be attacked by your own people.

You'll get over it.

Newsweek was a great magazine when it showed BO with a halo, and called Romney a wimp. Now alas, the are on the liberal index of forbidden works. What a difference a month makes.

It does the heart good to know that something actually meets with your approval.

Read about some more of this genius' Niall Fergerson's works:

Niall Ferguson Has Been Wrong On Economics - Business Insider

Of course titles like this make the Radical Right shoot bucketloads of cum. Enjoy yourself Springer?

Well ya beat me on the "Wrong On Economics" but I found this interesting.
Looks like a Ryan dupe to me.

Niall Ferguson - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Economic policy

In its 15 August 2005 edition, The New Republic published "The New New Deal", an essay by Ferguson and Laurence J. Kotlikoff, a Professor of Economics at Boston University. The two scholars called for the following changes to the American government's fiscal and income security policies:

Replacing the personal income tax, corporate income tax, Federal Insurance Contributions Act tax (FICA), estate tax, and gift tax with a 33% Federal Retail Sales Tax (FRST), plus a monthly rebate, amounting to the FRST a household with similar demographics would pay if its income were at the poverty line. See also: FairTax
Replacing the Old Age benefits paid under Social Security with a Personal Security System, consisting of private retirement accounts for all citizens, plus a government benefit payable to those whose savings were insufficient to afford a minimum retirement income
Replacing Medicare and Medicaid with a Medical Security System that would provide health insurance vouchers to all citizens, the value of which would be determined by one's health
Cutting federal discretionary spending by 20%

Most, if not all, news magazines have their token columnists from the "other side", so they can appear as fair and balanced. Claiming that this is a "liberal source" because it's a "liberal magazine" is like claiming that a basketball is a pumpkin because it got stacked with them.

Being a cover story on a well known Democrat magazine carries more weight. And if you doubt Romney and Ryan you might read the article.

A better question Bob would be --- why do you support the man?

Clearly Obama has failed to trigger a resurgence of the economy leaving millions without jobs or the hope of getting a job. The Obama administration has led the country in a poorer state than it was in the Carter administration.

42 straight months of official unemployment over 8% -- actual unemployment is much higher -- add underemployment to that number and the unemployed and under-employed are higher than the Great Depression.

Governing by executive order and back-seat "leadership" will be the legacy of this man.

Whether Romney is the perfect man for the job or not is not really important anymore -- what important is that we rid American of this man who cannot and will not lead.

Here's any interesting article you might want to read.

POLITICO e-book: Obama campaign roiled by conflict - Glenn Thrush - POLITICO.com

The article's author is Glenn Thrush -- in his bio he has an hat like Matt Drudge ... so he must be evil.

yeah, right ... token columnist with a cover in a big presidential election.

gotcha

Sorry to tell you but the author of the article did not make the decision to publish the article - it was done by the editor and publisher -- business is not a democratic institution. The big boys (girl in this case -- Tina) make the decisions.

even if true, I wouldn't say that Romney is the guy to replace him.

I still think it's sad that there wasn't a single progressive ballsy enough to try and mount a primary challenge from his left to force Obama to defend some of his more vile policies.

loki - do you think it is Obama's race that kept potential democrats from challenging the President or is it because he's still a relatively "fresh face" on the national political landscape? or another reason?

I have to be very honest -- Romney was not my first choice. I hope that he has the balls to lead the country to prosperity. Choosing Ryan as his VP was a very good first move to not accepting the normal RCN way of doing things.

So we're in a 747, and the guy at the helm barely knows how to fly the plane --do you kick him out and replace him with someone whose "theories" about flying have been shown repeatedly to result in disastrous crashes?
