Obama and Raul move Forward

I don’t understand what you’re trying to say here. Who is “them?”

Democrats, is my guess.

That doesn’t seem reasonable.

The 2012 Democratic Party Platform mentions “jobs” 77 times – and those references are pro-job-creation. The 2012 Republican Party Platform mentions “jobs” only 45 times.

“Them” must be intended to mean something else.

I'm thinking "Them" is Anyone who doesn't agree with "Me". #-o

Not necessarily. Some are children. Some are elderly or infirm.

Do you know if there's a more realistic number?

Who are actually in the labor market? I recall hearing 8m to 9m, but let's see . . . .

Only actual number I can find is Pew's eight million, which has been posted on JUB before. It's pretty much a guestimation game, since some people think there are actually fifteen to twenty million illegals here.

Hm.

Consider the one of whom you're wondering on this.

Thanks! That study is from 2010, but is probably a reasonable estimate.

The number of unauthorized immigrants in the nation’s workforce, 8 million in March 2010, also did not differ from the Pew Hispanic Center estimate for 2009. As with the population total, the number of unauthorized immigrants in the labor force had decreased in 2009 from its peak of 8.4 million in 2007. They made up 5.2% of the labor force in 2010.

From another thread, an idea about that handshake:

Snowden would probably be in Venezuela now - subject to extraction by the US or our subcontractors, the Israelis - had the US not made it very clear to Cuba that it should deny him transit passage. The US is gearing up for the end of Snowden's one year asylum in Russia.

That Obama/Raul Castro handshake at the Mandela to-do was not for nothing.

Quoted to give credit where it's due.
