Obama Delivers Ideological Knockout to GOP

Yeah and those people practice Voodoo Economics like Walter Williams. The black economist that sucks our founding fathers' dicks.

The same founding fathers who didn't think he should be allowed to vote.

Oh the irony.

Oh, there's also Rush "High School Diploma" Limbaugh offering advice on that too. Sean"Dropped out of College" Hannity also says that lengthened the Depression as well.

No thank you.

When I read the same thing in Reason, US News, and a couple of other magazines, I tend to give it a bit of credence.

Despite your naive and immature posturing, and name-calling, your ignorance about the Founding Fathers, and your fallacious arguments, you're wrong.

I could give you a laundry list of my grievances with Reagan and what he's brought to this country.

Well give me your laundry list. Don't make idle threats.

But it sounds like you have his cock in your mouth and it's cut off your oxygen.

You say that like it's a bad thing. Not my fault that I actually get some :p

Easy. Spend money to make money.

The government helps create jobs which in turn gives Average Joes who are currently out of work a job to pay their bills. When bills are paid, loan/credit agencies are able to loan more money. Business run off loans so business are able to expand their operations and hire people seeking employment.

You can also hire people to do jobs that will help national security (alternative fuel industry) and infrastructure (building roads, bridges, canals, etc.).

It's pretty cyclical.

Sounds kinda like trickle down economics. :rotflmao:

What do you think about the "Just Say No" to drugs and premarital sex campaign that the skeleton in a dress I mean Nancy Reagan pushed down peoples' throats?

Granny, that might have worked in the 30's, but not in the 80's.

How successfully was that?

If FDR were a Republican, Limbaugh and Hannity would be petitioning to have his face carved on Mount Rushmore. With them it's all about hatred of Democrats.

That's all it is.

I find it ironic that our governor, again another Republican with just a diploma, is cutting all the universities' budgets in our state and even eliminating Governor Napolitano's prized kindergarten program.

She's dead set against the stimulus, too.

The Republicans keep throwing these "bare minimum" people at us. Palin. Bush and now this lady.

What a joke.

And if you mention your qualifications or their lack of, you're an "elitist".

I love it when people say that tax cuts don't work. They refuse to learn from history. Hoover

You do know who the "Hoovervilles" were named for, right? The President that believed in virtual zero government intervention, tax cuts, and "rugged individualism" that resulted in 1 million people without jobs, standing in bread lines, and living in shanty towns. He was sent packing in '32. This is the example the current GOP is attempting to champion.

And just because a few Republicans ran up the deficit over the past eight years doesn't mean we all agreed with it.

Well, that's bullshit, considering Bush won re-election.
It's just so funny how GOP leadership remained quiet about out-of-control spending until Democrats won the White House. You don't get to come to the table with your dirty hands and start pointing at the new people setting the table. If the GOP cared about the interests of their constituents, they'd have lived up to the billing of "loyal opposition" while Bush and Cheney were busy destroying this country. Instead, they remained silent, and have only now found their courage to speak from a bed of hypocrisy.
When Rush Limbaugh admits on the air that he's glad Bush is gone because he didn't like "that guy" and was tired of defending him, you know that GOP talking points mean absolutely nothing.

Despite Obama's attacks and "abusing the broken Republican ideology," the stimulus bill is full of tax cuts.

.

Most of those so-called tax cuts aren't really tax cuts, they are welfare checks.
You can't give a tax cut to someone who doesn't actually pay taxes.

AND, SS and Medicare taxes are not, strictly speaking, taxes - they are a premium paid for a defined benefit. Calling them a tax when you refund them is a convenient fiction, but a fiction nonetheless.

Shafted ;
Pez Hoover inherited the Great Depression. It had already started when he took office.

"A premium paid for a defined benefit"?
That's really reaching... when you're paying premiums, it's your money going into investments so that you'll get back depending on what you paid.

That's never been true of SS, since the beginning!

Though you're right that, even though SS is actually a tax, that those aren't "refunds" -- if they were, points would have to be deducted from those folks' SS credits. #-o

Well "premium" may be a stretch, but SS/medicare are "defined benefits."

Actually, come to think of it, you are paying premiums for a defined promise - whether or not the money is actually being set aside for you isn't particularly important - it is the promise that is important.
