The OP is making it known that he is offended by an inappropriate display of the American flag. He points to the fact that he served as a basis for his being offended. He is permitted to make his point and we can accept it or not.
As to JUB, we have no prohibition on an improper display of the flag. It may offend some, but we won't be changing it or demanding that it be changed.
No one is disputing the right, of the OP to express his opinion, that he is offended.
I am confronting the OPs self allocated right to judge the respective poster, using the upturned American flag in his avatar, as unpatriotic.
Here lies a world of difference, between expressing ones feelings on being offended, and then choosing to dispute another poster's patriotic values, as a result of that poster's choice to use an upturned American flag in his avatar.
I repeat we are discussing freedom of expression, and not over sensitive feelings.
