The full list of nominees for the 83rd Annual Academy Awards will be announced on Tuesday, January 25th, 2011 at 5:30 a.m. PT, at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater .

The Oscars will be handed out on Sunday, February 27th at 8PM ET/5PM PT.

I think Mike Leigh's film "Another Year" may be an outside chance, as will one of its actresses, Lesley Manville.

And as the Academy are big fans of the Coppolas, Sofia's "Somewhere" may also make an appearance. I thought both Stephen Dorff and Elle Fanning were excellent in that film.

Andrew Garfield for Best Supporting Actor would not be unwelcomed. He was such a great presence in that film.

Great nominations this year, some pleasant surprises and very happy for both Social Network and King's Speech.

A little surprised at Christopher Nolan's exclusion from the directing category.

When they released the shortlist a month ago we saw the 15 finalists in this category. There was narnia, Clash of the titans, last airbender, percy jackson, scott pilgrim, shutter island, sorcerer apprentice, tron, and unstoppable. What surprises me is that they put in Hereafter and dropped Tron: Legacy. Say what you will about Tron, IT LOOKED RIDICULOUSLY GOOD! Not only did i expect Tron to be nominated, i expected it to win! thats a major snub. Scott Pilgrim should have been nominated for its creative use of visual effects. Its more deserving of this nomination than Harry Potter. I give this category to Inception

Theres always a few surprises no matter how sewn up people think it is, the academy is not made up of film critcs.

To be smug i correctly predicted Andrew Garfield would get snubbed. Why? Oscar politics. He's new, good looking, and he can wait, not to mention he'll be spiderman next year, he doesnt need the nomination for his career to be good.
