Re: Mayo Clinic rerpot: benefits of circumcision far outweigh the risks

Whatever the stats may say about circumcision being more beneficial healthwise to men:-

1.) the difference is negligible, since most uncut guys will tell you, we've never had a health problem with our uncut dicks.

2.) It's not in the interests of a women's health (even if this is negligible also). A foreskin helps keep vaginal lubricant inside the vagina.

Re: Mayo Clinic rerpot: benefits of circumcision far outweigh the risks

It's always interesting to read threads like this. Cormac finds the cut form more attractive - perhaps it's the allure of not being the standard in Scotland. Similarly, I have only come across one uncut here from my youth - a classmate whose family emigrated from the UK.

On the personal front, I found out as an adult that my dad was uncircumcised, despite being Catholic.
Yet, when my brother and I were born, my mom insisted we be circumcised - she being from Rural Indiana and a Methodist.

My son was 10 days premature and our doc wouldn't do a circumcision at birth due to his small size - and he had "just enough" issues to be in the special needs nursery. My wife and I discussed it and decided we'd let him make the decision if he ever chose to.

Fast forward 27 o4 8 years and the mentioned by someone else above did happen - his foreskin was too tight to retract properly and became painful to try and have relations with his wife. So, as an adult he underwent the knife - a not very pleasant procedure at all.

And, yes, the prevalence in the US might have been influenced by Judaism and a higher % of medical professionals of the faith, coupled with the (incorrect) liturgical understanding of circumcision - Christ did NOT require that people first became Jewish for them to come to Him.

Not passing opinion/judgement one way or another, don't know the studies percentages. Just presenting one family's empirical history.

Re: Mayo Clinic rerpot: benefits of circumcision far outweigh the risks

I'm cut.

I'm still alive. I've enjoyed sex over the years.

NO TELLING whether (or in which ways) my life would be different if I wasn't cut, and I can't even pretend to try to figure out what might have been.

But I wouldn't dare try to say that I would definitely be IMPROVING on what I put in bold above.

One thing guaranteed, though, is that if I was uncut, my sexual history would have been different in **SOME** way that I can't know. Would that have possibly sent me on a path where I would NOT have escaped AIDS? I mean, it's a 100% certainty that I'm alive right now. I can't be 100% sure that would also be absolutely true if I had not been cut...because the alternative history can't be known.

Re: Mayo Clinic rerpot: benefits of circumcision far outweigh the risks

It's just an American thing. Like sticking to pounds and feet. Or driving on the right. Or waving flags a lot.

Re: Mayo Clinic rerpot: benefits of circumcision far outweigh the risks

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prevalence_of_circumcision A 3rd of world male population and 70% of Muslim male population makes this just an American thing?

Yeah. Because those are religious traditions that are centuries old. It's an American thing as its popularity is only based cultural conditioning rationalized by whatever's au courant (masturbation, cancer, HIV) in a post industrial society.

Just look at the "it looks better" comments. That's cultural conditioning.

Re: Mayo Clinic rerpot: benefits of circumcision far outweigh the risks

Fair enough to not do this to your baby boy, let him decide it when he grows older. I is mutilation if you didn't choose it, and it is in your genitals.

P.S. to the idiot that said about foreskin and aids, if aids was not caught if you were cut then we would all be cut just in case and this illness would have been a history. Yet aids is in high peak especially amongst gay men who most likely have cut their skin.

I am an intact natural gay man, I don't have a single STD, nor will I ever catch because I am not fucking like an animal with whoever waves his penis or anus to me.

Evolution is a slow but very, very, very powerful force.

If an absense of foreskin were so much better than foreskin, nature would have eliminated the foreskin thousands of years ago.

Agreed. It's a bizarre practice. Like elongated lower lips or necks among certain tribes. Revered only among those who practice it.

Re: Mayo Clinic rerpot: benefits of circumcision far outweigh the risks

I find it extremely interesting, seeing a couple guys posting in here that they haven't even had any experiences with somebody who was cut.

With most of my experiences between 1967 and the late Seventies, and not that much after about 1985, it was RARE for me to run into somebody who had intact foreskin...almost everybody was cut.

Is it really that different now? Are there any statistics? I find this quite curious.

Re: Mayo Clinic rerpot: benefits of circumcision far outweigh the risks

Actually, circumcision is like removing the top bit of hood from a clit, not the clitoris itself. Always get pissy when people claim they're identical in severity.

Don't suppose you think parents should be able to have their infant girl's clitoral hood removed do you?

Re: Mayo Clinic rerpot: benefits of circumcision far outweigh the risks

By the way, the author of the "rerpot" that got the ball rolling in this thread is not a medical doctor.

He researches hypertension, and makes a hobby of circumcision promotion in unwilling children.

Re: What is the thing with circumcision in The US ?!

I'm American and I'm uncut :D

I think circumcision in America is on the decline.

I'm the same way. Circumcision of boys and men is involuntary male genital mutilation.

I'm still upset at my parents for involuntarily mutilating my beautiful blond hair when I was a baby.

Re: What is the thing with circumcision in The US ?!

I've come across a few from experience that couldn't. Also a few of them stank. :p

I've been around men who are cut who had penises that smelled gross. These guys had the mentality that since they were cut they were "clean" and did not need to wash their genitals daily or that often. No I did not give them oral sex.

Re: What is the thing with circumcision in The US ?!

This is such a useless question. It is like abortion. I sets off a firestorm of responses which is fine I guess. But there is not real answers about yes or no.

I do not like the idea of a foreskin, and after being with over 700 men (I am 71) and having only run into ONE uncut man in all of those I have not had to deal with it. I let the one guy down gently because his foreskin was longer than his soft cock.

Not disrespect intended and Long Live JUB.

You missed out. Foreskin is the essence of man, and a penis is meant to be intact and have a foreskin.

Plus, if you did not know it by now, a penis that's intact v.s. one that's cut look the same while hard except an intact penis with a foreskin does not have gross scars or other disfigurations that circumcision causes, and is not nearly as dry as a cut dick is.

here we go...........haven't had a good circumcision battle in quite some time. let the games begin.

It's quite the mystery how in these otherwise-politically-correct times how no one has ever called out gay men for referring to other men as "cut" or "mutiliated". It's akin to other body-shaming terms that people should be called out for using.

If you would like, we can restrict your access to the the forums that only contain pictures of "intact" penises. Oh, wait- there's no forum here that meets that criteria.
