Yeah. But it's *his* hair, and parents don't have a right to alter any part of his body without his consent...so no haircuts! When he turns 18, he can make the decision for himself as to whether or not he wants to get a haircut, but it should be up to him. Notice how they don't cut little girls hair? Just another sign of society not valuing boys as much as girls. His scalp, his choice!
Parents also shouldn't force braces on their kids crooked teeth either. His mouth, his choice!
Let's create a law that protects kids from parental interference when it comes to any and all aesthetic issues; no matter how inane or petty.
**snicker**
So ridiculous.
The real reason you got these silly ass grown men crying over their circumcisions is because (after logging one too many hours looking at imported porn from Europe) they think their parents hindered them from looking like Lukas Ridgeston's double. Tell the truth, shame the devil.
If I ever had a baby boy, I probably wouldn't him have circumcised (depending on how his mother felt)...but, unlike the feeling I get from anti-circumcision zealots, I'm not sitting here salivating over a big, emphatic, activist "NO" to deliver to the OBGYN when he'd ask me whether or not I want him snipped.
Right now, somewhere out there, there are little boys starving, homeless, being beat by their parents, or diagnosed with some kind of terminal illness...and yet some people would rather boo, hiss and focus their pseudo activist passion on neo-natal circumcision, and how a day old infant wasn't given a choice to decide if he wanted to spend the rest of his life having to take 15 extra seconds to wash the particles of urine from his around dick. Please.
