My brother was born in a very small town (1955) and isn't circumcised. I was born 5yrs later in a small city and am circumcised. I've never asked my mom if she allowed it or if the doctor just did it. No idea.

I am pretty sure that even back in 1955 that they needed a signature of a parent or guardian.
When I had myself circumcised I was in my 20's. The recovery was about 6 weeks, that meant no sex of any kind including masturbation.
I was put under and woke up with a bandage wrapped around my dick, there were stiches that dissolved after about 10 days.
I was told to wear tight underwear to keep from flopping around.
I was not particularly sensitive, I think that a boy getting snipped after having his clans incarcerated by a tight foreskin that could not be pulled back would be more subject to the sensitivity issue.

There is a reason or cause for autism, circumcision is not on the radar.
In principal I oppose infant circumcision except for health and religious reasons.

A study indeed! Why, I've never heard of anything so silly in my life. Just an excuse for another cut verses uncut debate that always ends badly. Autism could possibly have more to do with an increase in chemicals in our modern enviroment that causes genetic defects in a developing fetus. The notion that removing the foreskin can affect the brain is beyond absurd.

Oh, and this study is shit.

Never has an organic brain problem been caused by a surgical procedure, unless the patient did not receive enough oxygen due to the anesthetic. And you guys claim so many are done without any local anesthetic.

When he first learned he had been circumcised at 14, he said it led to feelings of ‘incompleteness, both physically and sexually’.

While I would refute the notion that this man's mental health problems were entirely down to his circumcision, I am sure it contributed

There have been a few JUB members that came through here with similar obsessions with their perceptions of body dismorphic "flaws" when they weren't physically what they thought they should be.

The vast majority of circumcized men have no problem with it. Many or most choose it for their sons as well. Many uncircumcised man wish it had been done. Clearly his obsession with it was not rational.
