We are not talking about emotional aspect of the sex but about physiological.

Do you think it is necissary or not? Should the parents be able to choose whether or not the child gets circumcised or not?
MY OPINION:
No i do not think it is necissary and no the parents should not be able to choose whether the child gets circumcised! I am circumcised and hate it so much!

I got snipped when I was born. It was considered SOP back then, so I certainly don't bear my parents any ill will for it. I certainly don't have a problem being circumsized. Would I have preferred being uncut? I dunno. It'da been nice to have the choice, I guess, but my feeling is that was then and this is now. It's no longer a given.

I certainly don't seem to have any problem enjoying what they left behind...

Basically no, unless there is a medical case for it such as the tight foreskin. However, I've read that when babies are born, their prepuce/foreskin doesn't slide back as it is still attached to the glans. The fact it doesn't slide at birth doesn't necessarily mean the baby boy has a tight foreskin.

I had a tight foreskin, but after my GP recommend I stretch the skin daily, I have a fully retractable skin now, so even a tight foreskin might be overcome (if you'll pardon the pun) with a regimen of drawing it back.

Also another issue is if the circumcision is not done right at birth i have heard the the pain is a lot worse. Plus some parents have heard leaving the foreskin can lead to more urinary tract infrections, this i have heard is true in some cases. Me I am glad I got snipped it just seems like the foreskin would just get in the way.

Davy, Croynan is very busy counting circumcision/cut or uncut threads. It was OK when the number of these threads was below 50,000 but as they approach the 100,000 mark, poor eM has all digits going 19 to the dozen pushing the beads around on his abacus.

I am going to suggest to Croynan that when the circumcision/cut or uncut thread count hits 100K, we reset the clock at zero, maybe even ground zero. Or we may ask for a separate circumcision/cut or uncut forum. One thing we could do is make it mandatory for all Jubbers to learn how to use the search function, you know the bit where you click on search, type in "circumcision" or "cut or uncut" the click on the Go button.
