Re: What is the thing with circumcision in The US ?!

I don't think their ugly at all, but I'd want them to be able to uncover the head fully. It doesn't look like that's possible on some of them!
They can if you suck them !!! No seriously it does uncover if you work on it... That's why it's so good !

Re: What is the thing with circumcision in The US ?!

I've come across a few from experience that couldn't. Also a few of them stank. :p

Re: What is the thing with circumcision in The US ?!

I want to thank you for a thread about something other than some assholes shooting people.
In the late 1800's it was common thought amongst doctors that masturbation caused epilepsy, clubbed feet, mental retardation and a myriad of other problems.
The solution was circumcision as it would make masturbating hard ;)
It (circumcision) was practiced in other nations as well as in the USA, with the advent of normal (national) health care in advanced nations circumcision was seen as an unnecessary cost and was ended.

Mass circumcision actually started in Britain, because self-gratification was believed to lead to deviant behavior. The practice was endorsed by no less physicians than Osler and Lister.

Victorian masturbation mania tickled W.S. Gilbert's funny-bone, and he put this bit of doggerel in "Patience":

Teasing Tom was a very bad boy,
A great big squirt was his favourite toy
He put live shrimps in his father's boots,
And sewed up the sleeves of his Sunday suits;
He punched his poor little sisters' heads,
And cayenne-peppered their four-post beds;
He plastered their hair with cobbler's wax,
And dropped hot halfpennies down their backs.
The consequence was he was lost totally,
And married a girl in the corps de bally!

In our for profit exploitive system in the USA, the practice continued under the lie that it was for health purposes, pretty interesting when you compare life expectances globally. You would think that snipped men would outlive those with the dread foreskin, alas, this is not the case.

The only medical indication for circumcision is an incarcerated foreskin. Louis XVI had this condition, and was unable to consummate is marriage to Marie Antoinette for several years. All Paris knew this, and the legitimacy of the the Dauphin was called into question, which was contributory to the start of the Revolution.

Circumcision became the "thing to do" first because of religious people trying to take the fun out of having a penis, then it was perpetuated for profit.

As with Kosher dietary laws, I suspect the original motivation behind circumcision was health-oriented, i.e. people got sick from eating bad shell-fish and pork, and men got infections under their foreskins.

Now so-called female circumcision, which is really a clitectomy, was started to take the pleasure out of sex so women would be faithful.

Re: What is the thing with circumcision in The US ?!

I got circumsized in 08 and didn't loose any sensation.

Re: What is the thing with circumcision in The US ?!

I don't think I could touch or suck on something that looks like a peanut-shaped bag. I prefer cut foreskin, looks more appealing and cleanly. Some lose sensation, some don't. Can't wait until the next cut cock comes along so I can suck it.

When I was uncut I had a number of suckers, I never got to do an uncut but would have.

Re: What is the thing with circumcision in The US ?!

Then there is the whole back and forth argument about health benefits, fewer UTI's in infants, studies about HIV and STD prevention, reduced incidence of penile cancer, etc. I believe the American Medical Assn. or some similar national association of Doctors, just published a new draft paper which for the first time cites the positive benefits of circumcision

Is the rate of the infections mentioned lower in the US than in Europe?

Perhaps the Europeans in the thread might also know of European scientific studies, like the American one, that also recommend circumcision? Perhaps also giving a scientific basis for the positive benefits of circumcision?

I think it has something to do with metric system.

American dongs are measured imperially, while non Americans metricate themselves.

This might be the root cause of internet inches.

Interesting post - this and others - filled with sparkling thoughts that spark many others. And a bit of Gilbert and Sullivan brightens up everything! :)

I've come across foreskins that do not pull back completely. And believe me the owners were able to have sex very well indeed. The dauphin's impotency is probably due to other reasons they did not care to look under the Hood of. So this sounds like a Hysterical misdiagnosis :)

But let's examine this Foreskin and Revolution hypothesis a bit.

It could well be that like the foreskin that caused the French Revolution, the American Revolution was because it was before the Age of Circumcision.

Now one could extrapolate conjecturally, that there has been no revolution in the US since because of circumcision despite, for instance, extreme inequality developing of late. In which case the scientific studies put out by the medical establishment is to prevent the Great Unwashed Foreskins from storming the corporate bastion with pitchforks and flaming torches.

Further afield and back in time, maybe Jews didn't bathe or wash in their desert lands as water was scarce. Like they didn't have refrigerators to keep their shellfish. But could it be that the lack of foreskins enabled the 12 tribes to unite and cease their contentiousness?

So those who say they prefer to suck cut cocks, like the gentleman who could not wait for the next cut cock to come bobbling by, might well have a point. For, good heavens, could it be that cut cocks serve like XXL baby pacifiers?

On the other hand, circumcision has apparently failed to quell the restlessness of Muslim Arabs. So I think this hypothesis calls for more comparative historical, sociological and pychological study. A unified field theory of circumcision could well be the result benefitting all mankind not just Americans.

And if circumcision was also started to discourage male masturbation, it is based on the same thinking that brings about clitorectomy? Is all this women's revolution and uppity Feminism talk because we don't have female circumcision?

Could there be any proud (ok MTF, since this is JUB) who have undergone female circumcision be on this forum to enlighten us? Or did you opt for genitalia without a clitoris? Do you also think circumcised female genitalia look better? Would you prefer your daughters to also have clitorectomies so they can look like you?

Are there studies that compare rates or frequency of male masturbation in Europe and the US? Has circumcision freed and cleansed our minds to build our vaunted Liberty and Freedom?

So many questions. My head hurts.

From the way women talk of it, they normally just go through the motions anyway! lol

Hehe :)

That's why they remove the clitoris. That's the pleasure button. Vaginal penetration by itself doesn't do much for women. For men, yes.

That's why women require a lot of foreplay. And how lesbian sex works.

Don't ask me how I know about these things. I don't want to talk about it.

Re: What is the thing with circumcision in The US ?!

A foreskin that can't roll back sounds like a problem.

My problem with the cut dicks is that the foreskin can't roll forward, because it isn't there anymore.

Re: What is the thing with circumcision in The US ?!

All the arguing and polemicizing aside, I think that the reasons circumcision became traditional in the U.S. are succinctly summed up in postings 8,9, and 10. Not that they are good reasons, but they are, I think, the reasons.

Botched Circumcision leading to amputated penis? You can now have a penis transplant.

Holy heck and a half. Yes, polymicrobial necrotizing fasciitis of the penis. Ouch.

But now there's hope. As long as there is a suitable male donor, you can have someone else's penis as a replacement. May we all praise those who die and donate their bodies to science.

A 21-year-old man has undergone the world's first successful penis transplant.

The 'ground-breaking' operation took South African surgeons nine hours to perform, and allowed the patient to urinate normally and become sexually active again.

Three years ago the man, who remains unidentified, was forced to have his penis amputated after a botched circumcision.

Each year thousands of young men, mainly from the Xhosa tribe in South Africa, have their foreskins removed in traditional rituals, with experts estimating around 250 losing their penises each year to medical complications.

It would be much easier if someone would teach the Xhosa tribe how to sterilize their instruments before cutting off a guy's foreskin.
