On the up-side, I had 2 young student nurses give me my first shower there. I was seated on the 'port-a-potty' seat that fits over a toilet for people who aren't supposed to sit as low as the toilet seat (like me). The 'potty' is open, obviously, and I could almost hear the silent arguing to see which would get the privilege of washing my dangly bits.
Speaking of port-a-potties, the last bowel movement I had was last Sunday morning before 'The Fall'. Medications and all that other stuff prevented me from having another until yesterday (Saturday). After lots of 'over-night' laxatives and a horrible-tasting liquid, things finally loosened up on Saturday afternoon. My roommate there commented that he thought I was running a marathon. They let go as I was sitting on the port-a-potty, fortunately. I made it with time to spare.
I swear, I left enough in that toilet to supply a stool sample for every single patient in that hospital.
Purging is such a wonderful, cleansing experience.
(I didn't quite make it this afternoon. I should have set the walker to overdrive.)
The things people tell us when they're 'chasing the dragon'. . . even the synthetic dragons and the dragon's derivatives . . .
Glad to hear that you are home where you belong, Neil. Take your time resting up, now.
Best you hang out here when you're on line, though, as I doubt you'll be fit for mixed company for at least another week or two, when the 'opiates' wear off.
