CNN is reporting that Pakistani intelligence aided in the killing. That's good to hear at least.

The Speaker was told about 10:00 Eastern as were most others, the White House must have known what they were doing when they notified the media of a 10:30 fifteen minute address by the President.

I'm just curious as to what the delay was all about..

From the man himself "Years of work by our intellignce Community" I suppose for those that believe President Obama is the only reason this is at a completion the years he refers to are only two.

To his credit President Obama gave credit to both GWB effort and Pakistan cooperation and further to the men and women who gave it all.

It is a great hallmark of a ten year campaign but it is far from over. President Obama is correct. The US will do what it sets out to do everytime. However, do not begin to think it is done.

For some reason the correspondents at the White House were saying he was calling various leaders in our government and worldwide. I suppose they could have been mistaken

The White House is run by professionals who should be able to schedule things down to the second. They easily could have asked, at the outset, for a later time.

This really is a party for those who lost their lives in 9/11, the rescuers, and the military troops. Let them have the party and glory. It's their night - put the political outfall aside for another day.
