Ouija Board--Real or Fake?

i got a old used one from a garage sale.. I tried it with a g/f of mine & it went crazy.. i think they work ... depends on who you are with, cuz when I used the same board with a b/f of mine it didnt react at all.

I really want to try one of these! I have so many questions to ask. I love getting spooked and I love the adrenaline rush.

I just don't know how to get my hands on one of these things....

HELLOOOOOOO ???? You're not listening to the old creepers!!!!
I know you're 18 so you KNOW EVERYTING !!

I know you think everything is fun - and you think you might "love getting spooked" -- but I can assure you - you will have MORE than an adrenaline rush -- (if that's what you wanna call shitting your pants) cuz you will definately be messing with the "other side" -- and that can make Poltergeist look like a children's fairy tale. so -- have at it big boy -- just don't say you "didn't know the gun was loaded" !!!

My post from the other thread.

In college one night my friends and I had a party. They dragged out the board and asked if there was anyone "out there" that wanted to talk to us. I watched as they "contacted" a supposed spirit of a little girl. She was supposedly murdered by her father in that building where my friends lived. She told them her name, how many people were in her family, how she was murdered, etc. Then she answered a question in a manner that was in contradiction to something she had told them earlier. The planchette began moving faster and faster. One of my friends asked it if it was lying, and the planchette rushed to "Yes." They broke contact and were freaked.

I had had a few drinks and was watching this. I was very skeptical. Told them I wanted to try it, and I was going to try to contact someone they would not know so they could not fake the answers. We put our hands on the planchette and I asked to talk to my dead grandfather. After a few moments, it began to move. Asked it if it was him. It indicated "Yes." I began to ask it questions my dead grandfather would know, but no one else would. It got every answer right. Kept asking it questions--my friends were getting uneasy again while I grew more and more interested. Then it got an answer wrong--something my grandfather would have known the answer to. I asked it if it was lying about being my grandfather, and it indicated "Yes." I then asked it if it was the thing that had been screwing with my friends earlier, and it rushed to "Yes." Two of my friends yelled and jumped back from the board. It totally ruined my good buzz and put a damper on the rest of the night.

They threw the board away the next morning.

Funny thing was, when I was in grade school one of my teachers had a board in her room that we would drag out and play with on rainy days when we couldn't go outside. After the college experience, I thought back to how all these little fourth graders had played with it and thought it was just funny when the little doo-hickey would move around seemingly unguided. The innocence of youth. lol

Well, it'll be an experience no matter the outcome. From what I've gathered recently, isn't that what life's all about? It'll be a story for the grandchildren! :D

ask JFK, jr. about experiences - like flying in the FOG when you're not fully competent..
He's not gonna have any grandchildren, BTW...........
I'm gonna stop now -, cuz I'm not looking to piss anybody off -- but this shit is NOT a toy - althought you can prolly buy it in a toy store...... but I know 2 "good witches" -- and you can believe in them or not -- one of them is very into Wiccan and they have had 'UNTOLD" experiences with this sort of thing, and yes, when they were younger, and didn't know any better. and they would say the same thing - RUN do not walk away from this -- it is EVIL --- it is made to lure the unsuspecting - and provide a portal for evil. Do some other research - ask people you trust - it's okay that you think we're crackpots - or that this is much to do about nothing... but it isn't -- and so i hope you actually think before you act...

Another old sage - said -- free advice is seldom taken...

be well..

Ouija Boards are absolutely real! They are made by Parker Brothers, out of cardboard and plastic, and you can really buy them. I know because I actually saw one at Toys R(backwards) Us.
Don't believe the skeptics. You can actually buy one at the store. I've seen receipts for them although I admit I have never actually seen one myself.

...LOL...Bankside, that is too good...If a person is driving around town looking for the store "Toys R Us" and they get confused about the backwards "R", then they need to drive back home...LOL..For real...Just let it go...

Back on Topic...George Noory does warn his radio-listeners 24/7..He's a BIG'ol chicken though because he CHICKENED out last year when givin the chance to play with one..He even had a panel of Witches & Bitches to advise him...He PRE-HYPED up the show for RATINGS then chickened out on-air..I bet he was afraid some Spirit was gonna come through and "OUT" his Ass or something..

Just thought these would be interesting:

Basically comes down to the human mind being a powerful thing...

Is The Ouija Board itself some sort of portal to evil ?

meh

NO. ...of course not

It's a cheap piece of press board and a plastic magnifying glass made as cheaply as possible by Parker Brothers.

That's ALL it is...

BUT.

Is it a way and means to justify and express the darker thoughts we as humans all deal with ?

Yeah, possibly.

My advise ? Stay away from it. There's enough evil in the world as it is...

Why tempt fate and energies that you don't quite understand yet.

but I know 2 "good witches" -- and you can believe in them or not -- one of them is very into Wiccan and they have had 'UNTOLD" experiences with this sort of thing, and yes, when they were younger, and didn't know any better .

Citing witches as a source of authority is not helping your case, my friend.

I never could stand the smugness of Penn and Teller, and while he made many great points in his Bullshit series, Penn's superior attitude and his foregone conclusions even before gathering evidence always left me cold.

I played around with one twice in my life; once in elementary school around eight grade; and then in high school around grade twelve.

Both times, it was clearly guided by the people who were 'playing' with me. One time, the first time, we were playing with it in a supposed haunted house. I say supposed because the boy in my class was insistent that it was and even his sister years later told me the same thing when I asked.

If nothing happened in a house two people were convinced were haunted, it lowers my prospective belief in the whole thing.

For crying out loud. It's a game. Go to any department store and look in the toy department.
A game that maybe acts as a means to communicate with the unworldly. Any board game could be used. People could conjure up some pretty sick demons using a Monopoly board. I've played with people that literally wanted to kill me for landing on my Boardwalk with two hotels.

My uncle-by-marriage - who have passed away - used to play this with my siblings when I was a kid. It was the time when we were still living in our hometown where electricity problem was the norm and we had blackout almost every other night. So, we were all bore silly by this situation and that's where my uncle came up with this idea - playing with ouija board. And my parents were on vacation at that time. He wouldn't be allow to otherwise.

At first, me and my siblings were taken aback by this idea as we were told that it summoned stray spirits from every corner of the streets. But later, we were convinced by the fact that it could be fun and could ask anything we want like fortune teller WITHOUT PAYING A DIME:badgrin:. So we went ahead, made makeshift ouija board, use coin in the place of magnifying glass piece (I know its sound very cheap !oops!), lit some candles and started summoning by saying something similar to invitation to unseen beings. After few mins passed, the board started working and we were completely baffled by how this thing works; The coin was moving on it's own. All we were doing was just touching it.

The first spirit who respond to our invitation was a guy who was struck by a freight train when he'd crossed the track while he was drunk. That was a year before and he said he lived at a big tree - between the railway and our street. (Ya we lived close to train station). The second one was a lady and she said she committed suicide by hanging herself and lived at a house two blocks away from our street. When we asked what had led her to do this, she said it was a sad story and she didn't want to share it with strangers like us. The third one is interesting and it also one of the reasons why we stop using the board. As he said he lived in our block, we decided to narrow down the street numbers(Like at which range you lived in 1to20 or 20to40) instead of asking the exact number directly. After narrowing down, it became clear that he was living in our range and that was when we stopped asking. Another guy was a grumpy guy and he didn't answer our questions. Then he was mad as hell and moved the coin from one end to the other when my bro snap at him with something similar to "WTF get the f*ck out if you don't want to be questioned." We asked him to leave but he refused until my bro apologize him.

Few things that amazed me by this whole experience are that, they knew things that we kept as a private. They have the way to find out what that is. For instance, one spirit could tell what my cousin bf name was and his DOB. None of us knew she had a bf not to mention the details. It would be silly to think that she could trick us by pushing the coin herself to the desire answer. Cuz she was just a bystander. Not the player and it wasn't a healthy relationship that anyone would want to talk; He was a married man. The next thing what that spirit said was to be prepared for the consequences from this unhealthy relationship and to end this when he came to see her from another city in few days(She had no clue he was coming). Apart from that, they also know who farted . One day when we were asking as usual, we smelt fart and it was so foul that we couldn't resist to demand the person who did this to come forward. But nobody did. So we asked the board who did this and the answered was my aunt who was a bystander. She was embarrassed but admitted nonetheless.

If you want to try out of curiosity try but be prepared if it refused to leave.

Well I hear the authentic hand made ones (not marketed) are much better. I just don't know if I feel like making one...

There is always people being a skeptic. Just like religious people give a convincing speech how gays are going to hell and how AIDs was created to punish them by god himself.

Nice try, but these aren't even similar enough to use a simile.

A skeptic is someone who would question the religious people giving the convincing speech, the the actual religious person giving the speech.
