Sadly, that is the indirect way of saying Americans have become a nation of greed. People do not have to be doing poorly to nonetheless be irate about paying for what we get fairly. Everyone was given ridiculous amounts of money during COVID and it washed up on the shores as inflation, a normal result of overloading supply of money.

Now, with normal inflation, the backlash is enough to elect a known anti-Constitutionalist, because we are no longer a nation of good citizens considering the welfare of others and the causes of justtice, but mean self-interest and greed.

And, we're just as much on the road to disintegration as we were. The only way Trump got elected the first time is the GOP coalititon fell apart and was taken over from within. Now, it's the Democrats' turn to eat shit and die. Let's see what evolves from the DNC being turned out on the street after this catastrophe.
