It is being reported on the website of the St. Louis Post Dispatch newspaper, the mayor of St. Louis and her teenage son received the texts.
On the comments page for the story, the very first comment is this:

Now, they all feel enabled and empowered to openly spew their hate with impunity. It won't be long before it escalates into violence and people die.
There have been a number of additional disturbing racist hate comments since I posted that. I'm not going to post all the garbage here.
But one comment claimed the texts were a false flag operation orchestrated by the DNC. I sense a lot of fascist projection in the comment.

Both are wrong. False dichotomy.

No one is clutching pearls in the center of the country. They grabbed voting levers. That is the point. Push the margin to poke the bear in the eye, and then pooh-pooh the reality.

The people rallying round the conservatives on gender issues are not some old maiden aunts. They are the many who have school age children, and that's FAR more Catholics, Mormons, Fundamentalists, and minorities like Latinos, Blacks, and South and Southeast Asians. The math dictated the left pissed off the wrong people, and in doing so, helped give GOP voters from all those groups, just enough to win.

Fuck the conservatives, right? Cuz it's the right thing to do to scare them when their children are concerned.
