And a reminder: This is a Koch Brother's strategy that goes back to Grover Norquist and Americans for Tax Reform.

Run up the debt and then claim "We have to cut expenses to reduce the debt!".

And of course, the solution is never to increase revenue... i.e. eliminate loopholes and make billionaires and corporations pay their fair share of taxes.

I know a LOT of MAGA types who despise Putin. They're also starting to figure out that voting for Trump was a big mistake.

I almost wish he would just drop dead tomorrow, but then I got to thinking: the longer he keeps making messes, the more likely the GOP will be toast come next election. OTOH Vance would take over, which wouldn't change things much except maybe he has a higher IQ, which could be good or bad -- though last I read, Vance hates Putin deeply, so yeah, I wish Trump would drop dead tomorrow.

Presumably the next president - if there is a US government at all in 4 years - could declare these gold cards invalid and deport the owners.
