For the Apollo missions, they rehearsed a worst case situation, that something went badly wrong, the ship was doomed, so the men got a farewell phone call from their wives, then a final call from the president. It was bad enough when that call was from tricky dicky. Imagine how gruesome it would be today when the last voice you hear, as the oxygen supply runs out, is the orange conman blaming the mission failure on Obama but boasting that the viewing figures are the greatest ever, oh and by the way, watch out for the windmills, and the sharks in space...
