No question that Mike Johnson and the MAGAs will support Trump in this, because they see it as a system that will work better for them under Trump. Be expressly and overtly loyal and supportive and he will make sure you and your district projects are rewarded while ensuring that no blue states or Dem district projects are funded.

This means no more need to make deals in Congress. Just go hat in hand to Trump. Pay him off, pay off his 'friends' and take a little off the top for yourself while you are at it.

And keep in mind that, outside natural disasters, it's the red states that are the "welfare queens" of the United States. The bluer the state on the map below, the more money they mooch off the other States. The top five moochers? Alaska, New Mexico, Kentucky, West Virginia and Mississippi.

Again, keep in mind that the idea will be to flow ALL the money to the red states.

Bow and scrape? Not at all.

The red state governors and assemblies will be lined up out the door to pay obeisance if it means they get a rich fat juicy cut.

Again, if you don't need to negotiate spending bills with the Democrats, you can take it all. And you can blame the Dem voters for not voting for TrumpCo. It is only when ALL the states are red, that the cutthroat maneuvering begins and you have the regional warlords competing with one another to show the most 'love' and to shower the TrumpCo. family with 'incentives'.

We see this in corrupt autocracies all over the world.

The response of the blue states will need to be to loudly withhold funds from the fed to offset the cuts, although I am not sure they would have this power.

But even the bluest of blue states will fall into line to backdoor payoffs to Trump through the oligarchs.
