Re: Post A Pic of Your Desktop

I hate not knowing how to do stuff when a lot know how to do it, but I'm going to ask anyways. How do you take a shot of your computer screen? Thanks...

You need an 'imaging' program (Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, etc.) that allows Copy and Paste to do it.

All you do is press the PRINT SCREEN key which copies the scene on the monitor to your Clipboard. Then open your imaging program and Paste the image into it and save the pasted image as a JPG file.

Thank you so much, Gsdx!

It's earth desk and puts current sat pics of clouds on the earth. You can centre it on any location. In my example Exeter UK.

Actually, you don't need anything that fancy (unless you want to display with stunning clarity as above): you can do it with the Paint program that comes installed in every Windows PC (which you'll find under "Accessories"). It's what I use. And to reduce the file size (Paint automatically saves as a BMP), save it as a JPEG.

This is my background at work now. I just like the look of it. I've written at least three stories in my head just by looking at it in my idle moments.
