^ I suppose that would depend on your perspective. If you're thinking of the world-wide gay community, and AIDS, then yes, definitely.

However, if you're looking at the world in general, with rampant xenophobia, rising authoritarianism, a raging pandemic, faltering economies, and the increasing effects of climate change, then no, I'd have to say this has been far worse.
