I just went to change a lightbulb. Bright spark that I am, since I couldn't see it very well, I went to turn on the light so I could see better while I was doing it.

LOL. A couple of weeks ago I was shaving with my electric razor. "this isn't shaving very well" I said to myself "maybe I should clean it out." Took off the top and turned on the water faucet in the sink....just then I realized what I was doing......DUHH!!!
 
Yep - hands up I am stupid - I decided to clean the convector heater in my bathroom - I dismantled the cover and then took an old toothbrush to it, to remove the dust - one minute I was standing on the bath edge the next I fell into it after recieving an electric shock - duh, that'll teach me not to turn the electric off at the mains first#-o
 
Twice in the last month, I thought, "Oh, NO! I forgot my keys!!!"...while DRIVING somewhere.

I recently switched from a PC back to my laptop and keep reaching for the mouse and grabbing my phone hehe

(I also paniced this morning because I could find my boots for work.....I found them......on my feet)
 
One night for dinner I bought one of those yummy whole roast chickens you get at the supermarket. I'll buy one and munch on it for 2 to 4 days (keeping it in the fridge). Well one night I got the bird out of the fridge. I cut off a breast and a wing that I wanted. I opened the microwave and put the bird back in the microwave (it was supposed to go in the fridge) and put my plate full of chicken in the fridge (it was supposed to go in the microwave). The fridge and the kitchen counter with the microwave are side by side...but still, pretty dumb...

Also, after coming home from the grocery store, travelling in and out (carrying the sacks in) I have accidentally lock myself out of the house. I had to crawl in through the living room window. It's sad when you have to break into your own house :D
 
The other day, I thought one of my employees was late, so I kept asking where he was..... I was asking the person I thought was late, and didn't realize it, nor did I listen to what they were saying.

It just goes to show how much I listen sometimes...

Lights had been on for some time, so I go to twist the bulb out, and burnt me fingers nice & proper :rotflmao:

I'll raise my hand, BUT I have a good excuse.

Monday morning I got to work at 6am I left to go south of FT Worth at 7am. I did not get back to the shop until 4pm on Tuesday, I worked all night and never took a break. When I got home around 5pm yesterday I was looking high and low for my hat in my truck. Couldn't find it anywhere. I looked for a good 10 minutes.Just when i was getting fed up, i took my hat off my head and used it to swat a fly. #-o #-o #-o ](*,)

yes I'm a very tired moron!
 
I'll confess

Just got in from work and needed to preheat the oven. Thought I had turned it on.

Puttered around the house for a half hour, went to put the food in and wondered why the oven was still cold.

I never turned the thing on.
 
I ironed a whole shirt one time. As I was putting in it on I was thinking that it didn't look very good. Then I realized I'd forgotten to turn on the iron! ](*,) :help:

I've done that before! My light went out yesterday, but it was so late at night I didn't fix it; therefore, I sorted it today, and also therefore, it was cold. :)

I still feel like a bit of a dunce, but that's okay :) We have these moments.

I've done the shoes thing, looking for them while wearing them, I've also done it with sunglasses and MP3 player. Oh, and university bag. Also when I have my hoody tied around my waist, I panic since I can't find it.

Woke up early the other day and thought " must defrost food to eat" so I took it out of the freezer. Went back to sleep. Woke up thinking "i'll cook that food now" but couldn't find it. Looked everywhere and was so pissed off as I knew I had taken it out. Thought I was going mad. Took out other stuff to defrost in total frustration then discovered I had put the original in the sink, remembered theory was the steel will conduct away the cold. It was a relief to find it but made me think should I install cctv to help me? I would be a useless witness!
 
I once turned on the dryer to dry my clothes....came back over an hour later only to find out that I never even took the clothes out of the washer! ](*,)

I've looked for my jeans while wearing them:cry:
I've put bread in the toaster and wondered why it wasn't cooked when I got back. I never plugged the toaster in to begin with:grrr:

I seem to have a bad short term memory :help:

The worst was when I was driving to work and I had to bring these papers with me. I got to the parking lot and remembered I forget something. Couldn't remember what it was at first. Then I remembered it was the papers. I drove back home but couldn't find the papers anywhere. Drove back to work pissed. An :idea: then came to me - check the back seat! Sure enough all the papers and my work stuff were there. Something still felt off though. Lunch time rolls around and I'm starving. Go to get my food and it's disappeared. Get home that day to find my lunch still on the chair on my front steps :o !



I'm officially putting both of my hands up to this question :? #-o

I call them "dumbass attacks," lol.

I too have done the lightbulb thing. And my latest dumbass attack was accidentally turning off the hot water in the shower instead of turning the handle that shuts the showerhead off and I got sprayed with a blast of freezing cold water.

But I suppose it's better than turning the cold water off first and being sprayed with scalding hotness.
