Questions for bisexuals....

hey, hey hey -- "we're" not the ones making accusations - and this is not the first time this opinion has been shoved down our collective throats - not to mention attempting to personally slice and dice ME -- so feel free to notice the ice pic being pointed at your eye --
I've never lied about how I feel - and what makes my cock squirt -- and there are plenty of people who will verify that -- it's called committment !

I'm known for not "getting" things, a lot in fact, but this ain't one sentence, it's a diatribe. Now, if he was up for cannibalizing children, I'd be up for it! I don't see a modest proposal here tho, but maybe I'm blind.

Sorry, I just got really excited when I read this because I loved that short story.

....which have probably been asked before on here somewhere, so just humour me.

offtopic:

Would you say your gender attraction is 50/50 down the line, or is it more like 60/40 or 75/25? Has it varied over time since you were in school, say, and does it vary slightly depending on the season, or perhaps on your mood? Has your attraction to either gender ever wavered or disappeared?

Do you watch as much straight porn as you do gay porn? Do you find a difference between what you are sexually attracted to vs what you are emotionally attracted to, in other words, are you more likely to have sex with one gender but more likely to fall in love with the other?

Did you always realise you were bisexual, or did you once think you were either gay or straight? Do you find people's reactions to be negative, even more so than if you were gay?

Was there more pressure on you from your community/religion/family/society to deny your homosexual side because you already found women attractive? Is it more common or less common for bisexuals to be 'out' to everyone?

Is bisexuality more common in women than in men? Is it perhaps easier for women to admit to than men? If so, do you think that far more straight men are bisexual than they let on?

That's about it.

This is a LOT more questions than I was intending to ask, lol, but most occurred to me as I was typing.

And thanks in advance to those who take the time to respond. Much appreciated. ..|

In regards to your poll:

I'd say it's 75/25 male/female attraction. When I'm around the guys, I find myself kind of "pressured" into looking at that chick with the tits and hiding the fact that I find a certain male face or figure alluring. I do find myself pining after some old girls I used to know back in the day though, and I'm not into openly gay guys. It seems low key people of both genders turn my head. I'm into good looks, and personality of either gender. My interest wavers for either gender only with the opportunities. I will always find the same 10 guys hot and the same 10 women hot. The ratio of what I see is the only thing I think that varies. Whenever opportunity strikes reallly.

Porn. I watch about 98% gay porn. I don't masturbate while watching porn, but when I masturbate, the fantasies in my head are pretty evenly split. I don't know why that is. Interesting.

Never fallen in love with a guy. Never fallen in love with a woman either. I see myself with a woman, married w/kids in the future though. Perhaps I'm conditioned to think of my future life that way. Don't know, but the concept of "love" escapes me really, guess you have to experience it to know/believe.

I didn't always realize I was bisexual. I always thought something was "wrong" with me, something was "missing" or that I might be sociopathic (not that I was evil, but I really didn't find anyone "evil" in a sense) or even have a sort of retardation going on. Kind of weird that I thought I might have some sort of mental problem as a teen and then finding out that doctors thought the same thing when I was a toddler! When I was a teen and I began to realize I'm not all that into the chicks that were into me, I thought I was gay. When I began to explore my ass with different objects, I thought I was gay. And then I began to really try to turn that around. I began hoping that I could reverse the process, deny it, keep doing it but hiding it...well, until I just went out and had me some gay sex. Wow. That was fun-just as fun as the sex I had with a woman! I was deathly scared of the fact that I might be gay until I remembered I do love the company of *certain* women. Just like I like the company of certain guys. Ah, all is well.:D

I'm closeted, so the pressure is from within really. Being called a faggot for much of my younger life, and having my dad comment on all the lookers into me and why I wasn't with them all the time kind of was pressuring. So fuck 'em. They really don't deserve to know the real me they helped to hide.

At my high school, bisexuality was infinitely more common among females. I don't know why. If I was a casual observer, I'd say maybe it's the fact that the males in their family didn't provide good role model material.

I don't have a problem with bisexuals. I have a problem with married men (straight) that sneak around and have have sex with men. It just bugs me. I consider them cowards.

^Word.

My sister had a joke, saying bi people have twice the chance of cheating or being cheated. Not correct, but it's funny  But anyway, I don't think married bisexuals are all bound to cheat his wife/her hubby someday.

In the end, it's all about honesty to yourself and commitment to the one you marry.

My attraction is 70/30 towards guys but depending on the girl herself it varies, you could put me in a room with the hotest guy on earth and Sarah Michele Gellhar and i will pick SMG. It has varied over time, i was more into girls in highschool but now its more guys. Women disapeared off my radar for a while and finally come back like a bat of hell.

I watch porn whether it be straight or gay, i find myself into manly men topping tho. I am physically attracted to men and emotionally attracted to women and i find it hard to fall in love with men and hard to fuck women.

Did you always realise you were bisexual, or did you once think you were either gay or straight? Do you find people's reactions to be negative, even more so than if you were gay?

I thought i was gay then i fell in love with a girl who i was with for four years and when we broke up it confused me, i decided i was bi not just gay or straight. I find confusion to be the main reaction i get from most people, they dont seem to understand it moreso then being gay.

Was there more pressure on you from your community/religion/family/society to deny your homosexual side because you already found women attractive? Is it more common or less common for bisexuals to be 'out' to everyone?

Yes definitley i found that i was pressured to be straight and i feel its becoming less and less common now because people are taking a jaded view on bisexuals. I went to pride in brisbane and i wore two stickers "I like men & I like women" i got alot of weird looks and was told by a few people "you cannot have it both ways"

Is bisexuality more common in women than in men? Is it perhaps easier for women to admit to than men? If so, do you think that far more straight men are bisexual than they let on?

Yes, yes, yes

I'd say 40/60, women/men, but that really does vary. I think back when I was younger it was 80/20, but now I'm just more keen in experimenting so I think deep down it's a 50/50.

I watch an equal amount of straight and gay porn, I would guess. As for relationships... I'm pretty bad with both. That's what I hate most about being bi.

I think peoples reaction to me being bi is generally quit good to be honest. The only real issues are girls being weirded out by the fact I've been with guys too; and gay men doubting that I have attraction to women aswell.

I think I'm bi.

I like
90/10 men/women

Before I was 13 I used to think I'm straight. I'm 19 now.
And I have never wanted to think of myself as gay..
But now I don't care what anybody calls me anymore. I guess bi is just easier to say for me. Maybe a little more relateable for the people around me..

I could get turned on by a woman, but easily have sex with either once I got going.
I got cock teased a few times by one chick in my younger days, and she thought it was funny, she just didn't know I had a number to call anytime to get my balls drained, (guy)

I like about 75/25 Men/Women. It wasn't always that way. Up into my late 20's I couldn't stand the sight of women. I thought their bodies were just way out of proportion, etc. I always thought of myself as purely Gay. But as I got older, I became increasingly attracted to Women. Now, the right Woman makes me hard in an instant. I always wondered why I developed a taste for Women so late in life, but I did.

Now mind you, I am very picky about who I like, though. Regardless of that, it's just easier for me to tell people I'm Gay since that's my primary (and emotional) preference.

As to porn, yes, I watch both. But mostly Gay. I do have a few hot women in my collection that just do it for me.

In my case, since I grew up totally Gay until my 30's, the pressure to be straight was horrendous. In the end, I still came out as Gay. That small percentage of interest in Women just doesn't cut it. Plus there is no EMOTIONAL attraction, only physical.

I think Bisexuality is just much easier for women, since straight men accept it and even find it hot. But I suspect that far more men are Bi than admit to it because of peer pressures.

attraction is 50/50 down the line, or is it more like 60/40 or 75/25?
What is "attraction"? To me, attraction - TRUE attraction - is something that is completely unbiased - that moment when my heart skips a beat, or my brain seems frozen. Two days ago, I had three breath-taken moments after making eye contact with three new people I had never seen before. Two of them were men, one was a woman. This is pretty typical for me, so instead of a percentage, I will give you a 2:1 ratio.

varied over time since you were in school? and does it vary slightly depending on the season, or perhaps on your mood?
Hehe this is funny. Good question, though. My attraction has never varied. Honesty about my attraction has changed, however. At this point, I am completely open.

The only "pattern" I can recognize is my occasional tendency to desire the sex opposite of whatever I was most recently involved with.

Has your attraction to either gender ever wavered or disappeared?
Just when it does, some fateful event will re-enlighten me to the losing gender in a whole new, exciting way.

Do you watch as much straight porn as you do gay porn?
Definitely not. More gay porn, for sure.

Do you find a difference between what you are sexually attracted to vs what you are emotionally attracted to, in other words, are you more likely to have sex with one gender but more likely to fall in love with the other?
Great question... I'm more emotionally attracted to men, and can learn to love their bodies more easily than I can a woman's. Women are fascinating to share emotions with, but I don't usually want to have sex with a particular lady more than once. Unless it's been a while

Did you always realise you were bisexual, or did you once think you were either gay or straight? Do you find people's reactions to be negative, even more so than if you were gay?
I've ALWAYS known I am bisexual. Period. But that's different from what other people think I've known. I've come out of the closet, gone back in, come out again, bla bla bla. Different groups of people - depending on: how judgmental they are, how socially comfy I am around them, where I'm at in terms of development at the time I've known them - all have heard me represent different sexualities. I've learned that people are quite a bit more comfortable when you identify yourself as STRAIGHT or GAY. Some people are quite negative about my being bi, yes, but I think it is only either out of jealousy/pride.

Was there more pressure on you from your community/religion/family/society to deny your homosexual side because you already found women attractive?
Actually yes. When I came out as gay in high school, my mom wasn't upset or disappointed, but simply did not believe me. And tried to talk me out of it! According to her, she'd never observed any behavior which would suggest my being interested in men. Oh, if only she knew. My parents would never hold my sexuality against me, however. So I lucked out.

Is it more common or less common for bisexuals to be 'out' to everyone?
I really don't know. I think it depends on the bisexual. Some people don't have to be out. Some people don't ever have to mention that they're out. Some people just do whatever they want, and others may think they're gay, some may think they're straight.

It's when everybody KNOWS me as one or the other, then something I do contradicts that (I dated a girl - peers saw that - then they saw me with a guy, and are completely lost), that folks get curious and confused.

Is bisexuality more common in women than in men? Is it perhaps easier for women to admit to than men? If so, do you think that far more straight men are bisexual than they let on?
I certainly hope it's not more common in one sex than the other. I don't think it is. I believe we are all inherently bisexual, and perhaps hormones decide what our dominant sexuality will ultimately be. I think one's hormone levels are influenced by equal parts genetics and environment. But I dunno :) Maybe that's just my particular case! I don't speak for everybody.

You ask a lot of good questions, it's great to see people approaching the subject with such thoughtful curiosity. Cheers, partner.
