Realistically, who's gonna win the 2008 Presidential Election.

Regardless of your personal choice of candidate or party, that is.

](*,)](*,)

i feel it will be Hillary Clinton.

should it happen to be, Mike Huckabee, God Help Us All.

eM.:(

p/s is it too late for you to make a poll with this thread? that might be very useful.

just a suggestion of the local village idiot.

Well if it isn't one of the three that I want, I will slit my wrists!

Maybe better for this topic to be in CE&P.

If the topic does get moved, you won't see me there. That place scares the sh*t out of me! Fair dinkum!

Seriously, this thread should be moved.

Look to PreTTy PeTe and sinfulsimon, from your fingers to gawds ears.

The "vast right wing conspiracy" engages in full force. It won't be pretty. Nothing will get done.

Biden
I say!

He won't win.

Kucinich would be cool.

Go Edwards!

If McCain won the Republican nomination, I could see him winning the presidency, but since he most likely won't be their candidate, I'm guessing Obama or Clinton.

On a side note, I really don't want a page in the history books to read:

41: Bush
42: Clinton
43: Bush
44: Clinton

i have always felt it was hillary's to lose.

nevertheless i am still pulling for bill richardson.

I've never voted for a Republican in my life, but I don't believe any of the current Democratic contenders has any real chance of winning the next presidential election.

Really, it's impossible to know at this point. So many candidates in leading positions this early have tanked; so many who were unknown this early have gone on to take the nomination and the White House.

It's a very scary time. I don't think any of the Dems have the character to take apart the Weimarian structure that the Bushistas have put in place. Hillary is the best of the ones who can beat the Rethuglicans, so I hope we get her in the nomination slot.

The GOP candidates are all gaudily deranged, except for McCain. Which probably means the terrified, cowering, unpatriotic idiots who vote on that side will not pick him. They want someone "strong," a Republican word that means what you or I would call "crazy." McCain is bad, but at least he's not actually insane.

I think you're wrong on one point, Criostoir. I think McCain is the one who is clearly deranged. The rest of them, at best, are a misguided, bigoted lot. But I agree with the rest of your post--it is too early to tell.

Weimarian? Nice! ..|

It's always nice to poll those in Hot Topics. So many people who spend their time here won't venture to post in CE&P for whatever reason.

I could see Clinton winning. But at this point its hard to tell. We still have nearly a year until the elections.
