Good evening, Foxy, (*8*):kiss: I hope you have had a good day today, keeping out of the showers. I managed to get my shopping done before it started. Of course, today is May Day, and therefore, in normal times, Maypole dancing, like Gary has mentioned. Well, I always thought the dancing was performed by Morris Men. But it seems not - I’ve just been having a look in Google, and there are more women doing the dancing than men. I’ll be doing some more research, there’s clearly a lot to be learned.;)
Here’s a pic I found of some Morris Men - the other thing is I always thought they were dressed in white. Again I think I have got it wrong! I think I’ll have to have a spanking! :p:lol:

Good evening, Rob (*8*) :kiss: I think there are a number of Morris Dancing groups in my area and the dancers are mostly girls. Whenever I've seen pictures of Morris Men, they have been dressed in white, but I think maybe the colours in your picture are for May Day.

I admit to getting more than confused with the Morris Men and May Day. I’ll have had Women in white, batting the bottom of the woman in front with a stick, instead of men with bells, and dancing around and about... The Maypole reminds me of something very naughty - it is a fertility rite isn’t it? :p

Good evening, Rob (*8*) :kiss: Yes, you are correct about the Maypole, it is a fertility symbol and the dancing around it is a fertility rite ..| Work was reasonably okay, the only negative being from the customer who got a bit stroppy because we didn't have in stock the extremely important item of garden furniture that she wanted :roll: :##: Weather has been dry here, though a bit windy today. I'm not in work until late afternoon tomorrow then off the following two days before another late start on Friday.
