Southwest isn't taking reservations for that weekend yet. But looking at gayorbitz.com, roundtrip air from Philadelphia starts at $199 via Continental (via Newark), or $211 on American (via DFW).

This is tempting, but I've got to wait until Southwest starts booking. Their roundtrip fare for April travel starts at $267 but it's nonstop and I like Southwest's lack of extra fees.
 
Hotel Reservation Information Drury Plaza Hotel - Riverwalk

i have spoken with a representative with the drury hotels and have secured a group rate at their fabulous drury plaza hotel - riverwalk for the weekend of the meet. the rate is $130 a night for a 2 queen sized bed delux room. the dates are for saturday 05/23/09 to monday 05/25/09.

to make your reservation you will want to go to www.druryhotels.com and enter our group number: 2052038. you can also call their reservation line at 1-800-325-0720 and give them the group number. they will be taking reservations to the block of rooms already set aside until 04/23/09. there after they will take reservations on a space-available basis at prevailing rates. so you will want to make yours as soon as possible.

just so you know this is the same hotel that we stayed at for the first san antonio jub meet and it proved to be a fantastic bargain. the rooms are very nice, there is a full breakfast available every morning and they have a cocktail/happy hour in the late afternoon that is all included with your stay. also it is centrally located in downtown san antonio which allowed us to walk easily to and fro.

so get cracking! check with your fellow jubbers for roommates and travel plans and make those reservations! the meet is now only a few months away! :gogirl:

Hmm... I'm starting to seriously consider this. Right now I can get plane tickets for less than $200. Depending on what I'm doing this summer, I may stay an extra day or two and visit a friend of mine who recently moved to San Antonio. (Hell, I may even bring her to the meet. She loves the fags, and she's a loudmouthed black woman, and you know how the gays love big black women who don't know when to shut their damn mouths... :lol:)
